I got a good deal on a Benelli M1 Super 90 so i took it, but ive always wanted a nice Remington 870, so now im not sure if i should sell this M1 and buy an 870 and have money left over, or keep the M1. It seems to be an awesome gun, i should probably shoot it and see if its true love.

What are pros and cons of either gun? I have a benelli nova, so maybe i should keep this semiauto?

if you like apples and oranges in the same basket... keep the Benelli and save up for the 870.

shoot your M1 Super 90, and see if you like it. imho, the biggest drawback of the Benelli is the cost of parts. check out the cost of a barrel replacement, or a factory stock; a little steep.

Of course there's a point.....don't like variety? Semi-auto's are fun, but nothing like racking the action on a pump and going to town.

i have no intention of parting with my M1 Super 90... or my 870s, either.

I would keep the M1 and buy 870 later. There are plenty of good deals on 870 all the time, it is much easier to find a great deal on them.. You will regret selling the Benelli.

i immediately felt the pain of regret when i sold mine; finally replaced it many years later.

Im still on the fence... I really like the gun, but would also really like an 870 tactical and a magnifier for my eotech on my AR, and the M1 should fund both of those.

At the same time i know ill probably never get something like this benelli again, rarely will i even get the chance.

I guess i should wait and see how things work out in a few months, im expecting to have more available money, then i can buy the 870 and a magnifier
