Can you help me out here, I have a Kimber custom TLE11 in SS that has a SS magwell on it and I bought a Kimber 22lr conversion kit but I have a problem with the 22 mags base hitting the very upper top of the magwell.

This is causing the mag to not lock in all the way in and causes FTF on every round.

I know that I can put in a standerd main spring housing and it works fine but I really like the magwell looks.

How hard would it be to remove some of the material to allow the 22 mag to fit in, its only going to take .030-.040 taken off to allow them to fit and I dont think it will afect the 45 mags in any way.

Should I use a file or a dremmel tool and then polish it up ?

The arrows point to where they hit.

Id take the material off the mag bases. Im sure they are much cheaper to replace should anything go wrong with a dremel.
