I don't know. I bought this new in 1989 and the .50AE came out the same year IIRC.

Just got off the phone with Magnum Industries and they said this is the Mark VII which can be converted for about $1,000 to the .50 AE.

The frame of the Mark VII and XIX are identical. On the Mark VII, in order to change from .44 to .50AE, it's a complete change in slide, barrel and bolt (springs and gas plug are identical product numbers on MR's parts catalog/site, so you can use the same ones for either caliber).

"Conversion" is a bit misleading. Finding a .50AE slide/bolt/barrel for $1,000 is a good price if you can get it at that price. If you can pop the slide off a Beretta 92 series, doing the same with any Desert Eagle is just as easy (push, rotate, slide, done). Converting .44 <--> .50AE is as simple as changing the slide (which includes the bolt) and the barrel. Takes 10 seconds.

I'm accepting backup offers right now. Just send me a PM.

Just a reminder, you'll have to get clearance through a firearms dealer, which means a background check and a firearms safety certificate.

A couple of offers have already been withdrawn due to these legal requirements.

Magnum Industries told me that this is a Mark VII.

Well, those are definitely MK1 safety levers. The MKVII has a little hook shape that angles down off the outward surface of the lever. It makes it a bit easier to manipulate.

Does it have a 2 stage adjustable trigger?

There is definitely some overlap between the early models, and this may be one of those instances.
