Tracy Rifle and Pistol Burglary – 09/16/2011

Tracy, CA – In the early hours of Friday, September 16, 2011 the building integrity of Tracy Rifle and Pistol was compromised by thieves. Due to the ongoing investigation being conducted by Tracy Police Department and Federal Agents at BATFE, we cannot go into details of the break in. The alarm was triggered and Tracy PD was notified and dispatched.

Tracy Rifle and Pistol is committed to security and keeping firearms out of criminal hands. The main vault was not breached and no customer or inventory guns were stolen.

We are currently undergoing security improvements to prevent anything like this from happening again. Please pardon our disorder at the shop while the building is fixed an upgraded. We assure you, business will continue to go on as normal.

We also apologize to the few customers that were inconvenienced by our late opening on Friday. We assure you that we will be open normal hours from 10AM to 7PM, Mon-Sat.

The Verizon store in the adjacent unit was also burglarized. Although Tracy PD responded quickly, the criminals had already fled the scene.

If anyone has any information regarding this, or the Verizon incident please contact the Tracy Police Department at (209) 831-4550.

Holy crap! That's messed up. I'm glad the morons couldn't breach the vault. Hope there is video surveillance and I'm glad the building had an alarm.
