I am a new hunter - lot's of firearms experience but completely new to hunting. I've taken numerous handgun classes and have been shooting an AR with training for almost two years. I've also had a class in precision rifle.

Looking for someone who would not mind showing the ropes to a new guy. I have all the gear and have been out once in the A zone (didn't see any) with a friend.

I am in good physical condition, congenial, willing to split gas expenses, have a forest service parking pass, etc. I live in Ventura County and have a very flexible schedule so can hunt weekdays as well as weekends. I am just as happy to see someone else get a deer as to get my own. Need to learn how to field dress, etc.

If you can help, please private message me. Thanks for your consideration.

what's a "forest service parking pass" why do you need one and when do you use one if you don't mind me asking ?

Ok, looks like it's just a southern cal thing (another darn fee)
nothing about northern cal that I can find
correct me if I'm wrong

If you park within the Los Padres National Forest, or other national forests, you need to have an "Adventure Pass" which hangs from your mirror. Without one, you can get a ticket.

Or toed...not the frog type either. It's the Feds way of collecting more fees. You get one...your good in all the National Forests in Cali for a year.

Not exactly. Only in High Impact Recreation Areas (HIRAs) and certain fee areas.

PM me and well see if I can at least point you in the right direction. I hunt with a D13 pass.
