Hello,

Does anyone know of / recommend a really great custom shop where I can send my Colt Series 80 45's in for some custom work/accurizing etc.

Kings Gun Works in Glendale did some EXCELLENT work on my Colt 1991 and a couple of Springers a few years back. I hear they are now having some issues since Al died.

Robar did some nice work on one of my dad's 1911's last year.

Any of the smiths at Louder Than Words (http://www.louderthanwords.us/) should suit you just fine.

Some examples of their work......

Locally, I've had experience with King's, Jim Hoag and Alan Tanaka. All three are good to go. I've also heard good things about Jojo Vidanes in Norco and Will O'Hara in Corona. If you do a search for these names you should be able to find contact info.

Top of my list would be Will O'Hara.

I really like Ted's work. Also, Alan Tanaka in CA. Of course, there's Larry Vickers, Dave Sams and other greats. No shortage, that's for sure.
