I (along with most people, I guess) have for years bemoaned the fact that S&W did away with their full-steel (non-alloy) J-frame .38 spec. snubbies, in favor of the scandi-alumi-lightweight frames (not so much fun to shoot..). The closest you can come is the Model 60 (which I own and love) but it isn't the same thing. Anyway, as we all know, since the SHOT show...the snubbies are back! And some lucky guy already has one of the nickel variants ....read it and weep (at the photos..):

They are now on the Smith page, too! Snubby J-frames in blue, nickel or case-color-hardened. And they have new 21s, 22s, 24s, 25s, 27s, and 29s - many in 3-inch!!! It is blue snubnose heaven!
