I just ordered 9mm steel case 9mm for $189/1000 shipped. I thought that was a decent price. Anyone done better recently?

is that factory ammo? seems like a pretty nice deal considering you don't have to drive out for it.

got 9mm reloads from the OC/IE group buy for $180/1000rds picked up. also saw reloads selling for $155+tax/1000rds at the del mar gun show.

My cost on reloading 9mm for the last 2 years has been 7 cents for the Montana Gold Bullets, 2 cents for the primers (bought them before all hell broke loose) and 1 penny for powder. Brass is usually scored for free from friends or from picking it up at the range :43:

I haven't been able to beat that in the past few months for new.

It's factory. I don't think steel case is reloadable. I have seen videos on youtube of it being done.

At 0.19/round, it would be hard to do a whole lot better reloading. My primers cost me $40/1000, more in some cases. I think bullets were $80/1000. Then there is powder and time. I just want to shoot. What little time I have these days, I don't want to spend it reloading. My setup is a single stage. I was just curious if there are better deals. In the old days, a case of 500 WWB was $60 at the gun shows. Those days are gone.

I have collected 1000's of 9mm and .45 brass over the years. I just don't feel like reloading at this time.

I always see the great prices on non-brass ammo. Every range I have been to in the past several months checks ammo and won't allow it. For the life of me I don't know where its all being used.

Steel cases are feasibly reloadable, as long as they're Boxer-primed. You won't get as many uses out of it, probably about half, but if another ammo rush occurs, you can still make your own ammo from it.

That price includes shipping? Then that's pretty good.

Can not even imagine spending that much for steel case ammo.
Consider reloading?
For $308/3750, you can buy excellent Montant Gold real JACKETED 124gn JHP bullets. That is 8 cents a bullet. Powder is about a cent and primers are 3 cents? That is 12 cents a round. That is $120/1000 for GREAT ammunition that can be custom tailored to your gun. You can even load for less by learning about cast lead bullets.
Obviously, if shooting is your goal and you don't have "time" to reload, then you have made a wise choice--if the ammunition is accurate and non-corrosive. If the ammunition was brass-cased, you could resell the cases.

Steel case is not a problem at my range.

With a single stage press, I don't have the "time" to reload. I thought the price I found was pretty good. I was hoping someone had a better price. I already ordered 1000 rounds. I have an email from UPS. They have scanned the package.

No. that's what the thieves were charging. J & R charged me $60/1000 for small rifle primers. That was after the shortage was done. Primers could be found again. They gave me some BS story about the distributor charging them more. I know they lied but they were the only ones with small rifle primers that I could find and I looked everywhere. I also know they had pending orders from way before the crunch because they told me.

RWS 9mm made in Switzerland, 1000 rounds (50x20),non-corrosive, reloadable brass case, 124gr . $199.98 SHIPPED. from weaponsworld.com it took 10 days from order to my door but well worth it. Good ammo. I have heard Walmart carries it for $13+ a box but I havent seen it at mine.
