Anyone use a fiber optic front sight on their ar? Which one and what are your thoughts?

ETA: are any of the sights compatible with the Daniel Defense rail mounted front sight?

I went with this for the wife's AR...she likes it and shoots fine with it. Even in dim light the dot will show better then the black sight post.

Mounting Solutions Plus Standard Front Sight Post (http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?productNumber=354879)

It comes in three different sizes, and each one has two different size dots depending on which way you set it. You can swap between the two dots without changing zero.

That look interesting. Do you know if it will fit either a Daniel Defense or LMT rail mounted sight?

Couldn't say for sure if it'll fit, she has a standard M-16 style front sight/gas block and it dropped right in. I would guess it'll fit any front sight that has the same thread pattern, it's the same diameter and height of a regular front sight post.

This is tritium, not fiber optic, but for $41, it's tough to beat:

Meprolight 31615.

Truglo makes a TFO (Tritium Fiber Optic) combination sight, TG131AR:

I like the concept of the TFO and when I get around to ordering it, will be purchasing one of them for my AR.
