Shot an AR-15 for the first time yesterday and loved it! After shooting clays for a while with a heavy shotgun, it felt so light and easy to handle.
Also, it had an Eotech holographic sight that was SU-SWEET!
I had to make sure I kept my mouth closed really tight so I wouldn't drool all over the gun. :43:
Funds are extremely lacking currently, but sometime in the future I am hoping to build or buy one of those EBR's!

BTW, I also used an old Winchester shotgun that I discovered I could slam-fire! that was AWESOME! :D

Just had to share!

I love AR's they are one of the most fun guns around to shoot that and a m1 garand IMO win it for the (fun) factor.

30 years back I shot my first Colt AR. You couldn't remove the smile on my face with a blow torch!

Just picked up mine yesterday. S&W M&P 15. Got it for $800. Haven't shot it yet, but I can see why people get addicted to these. They feel good in your hands.

You can build an AR for cheaper, I just didn't have the time and wanted something that I could just plink around with.

You can build a high quality AR for around $700-800 if you look around for great deals.

And congrats! Nothing is like firing an AR for the first time:43:

Too bad you're serious. It becomes an expensive habit real quick. I might have to sell my first born to keep from going into withdrawals.

buy one part at a time. If you can save $100, you can build an AR15 Take a $20 and hide it every payday. whats 20 X 52? Think about it. Its not that hard to save for an AR.

my first experience was like wow that had not recoil but holy carp it is loud then it just felt like a different recoil and reminded me of a pogostick with its klangsproing sound

and its fairly easy to reload 223

i have one registered from back in 1999 and had enough extra parts to just build up another on a lrb lower just last month

Dude, +1 on this. I have more than I ever intended as well... but I'm not complaining.

Just go for it! You won't regret it.

Lmao the pogostick reference totally works never thought of it like that. Amazing guns. What do y'all think of the 308 models I think Remington has something along those lines. Prob not an a r but similar. I would love the higher caliber

It's harder than you think. I mean its hard to spread out your AR part purchases over a year. Once you start buying you'll have that thing built up in no time. Atleast that's what happened to me haha.
