Mind disclosing how much you paid for it? I'd love to build something like that, but I think the sticker shock would kill me.

So what's with the flaming pig? Doesn't it make that rifle real nose heavy? Wasn't the pig designed for SBRs/pistols to send concussion downrange?

Whether it's designed and marketed that way or not, it's generally accepted that yes, it's mainly for SBRs and pistols as a means of pushing muzzle blast forward. I believe it weighs something like 8 ounces, so at the end of a carbine it will likely be noticeable. Then again, people hang all sorts of crap off the front of their guns already, so I guess that can't be that bad. It certainly does look cool :D

I bought the Geissele separately and installed it when I built the lower. Haven't shot it yet, but it dry fires like a dream ;)

the weight is definitely noticeable, but nothing dramatic. And I don't intend to run a light regularly, so I'm not that concerned about it

The Fire Pig was designed to help SBRs cycle better, I thought.

How would it help a SBR cycle better?

Great looking rifle! Love the 13.7 with the pinned Pig.

Does the UBR help balance front end weight of the Pig?
I have an Infidel w/Vltor VIS I'm getting ready to build up and I'm trying to decide between iMOD and the UBR. Thanks

Increased dwell.

An infidel barrel is 13.7in. so technically if not for the KX3 (or other device bringing it to length) it would be an SBR.
However the KX3 is typically for shorter than 12.5in.

It is pretty heavy. I sometimes use one on my 5.56 guns, but it really shines on my 7.62 (it weights a 1/2lbs.) when shooting in close proximity to my friends, they thank me for using it.

I chose the UBR to balance out the front end, & it works very well with the flaming pig out front

I was thinking of adding a red dot on an angled mount, but I didn't pull the trigger on it in time. I'll have to make do

I got the complete upper built up this way by Noveske. I'm sure they'll sell you just the barrel if thats all you want
