I was wondering if the Remington boxes of 525 worked good in GSG-5s? Thinking of picking some up.

I've been using Blazer but everyone seems to be out locally. Same with Federal.

Buy a brick and try it out.

There was a complaint here that RGB won't work on his semi auto but it worked fine on my Marlin 795.

rgb won't work in my s&w pistol but works great in my model 60 marlin so just try some and see if it works for you

My GSG-5 eats up any brand of .22LR ammo.

Remington gold bullets have been very poor quality in the guns I've tried (Sig .22 conversion kit for P220, High standard sentinel revolver, and 10/22. More failures to fire than other brands, and some of the bullets were so oversized they wouldn't enter the chamber without a good amount of wiggling and pushing manually.

It should function fine, although it isn't the best quality. Went through about 50 rounds at the campsite yesterday, 3 ftf. It cycles and shoots pretty good, when it shoots. In my experiences bulk Federal is the best, and bulk Winchester is to be avoided, no matter what gun you're shooting.

If your looking for a good brand for your GSG try CCI Blazers. Cheap and very reliable in my GSG. Maybe 7 failures in 600 rounds. The best economical .22 ammo I have found. Mine can't stand federal though.

I run RGB just fine through mine, other users not so good, it all depends on your gsg alone.

There is a reason RGB is still in stock, it sucks. If your local retailers don't have ammo in stock, shop online. You will find great deals and a better variety than any local store. Cheaper Than Dirt and Midway USA have good deals and fast shipping.

I ran RGB through mine after a full take down of the bolt carrier group. I had more FTE with Winchester & Federal Bulk, than RGB. In fact, I shot RGB the rest of the day. Weird, I know.

When I first got it, it ran all 3 just fine. When the bolt carrier is looser, I guess that's when RGB come into it's own. I was worried about RGB when I first got it because the bullets would turn. It seemed loose. Give a brick a go and see what happens.

RGB had a lot of stove-pipes in my 10/22. Federal bulk FTW!

No problems with RGB on my 10/22

Above is the best advice on this topic.

Nothing shoots in my Savage MKII except Wolf Match Target but won't shoot too good in my Zastava Z5. The Z5 will shoot Fed 325 great, Fed 550 is not so great, Win 333 is accurate but some FTEs, Aguila Match Target really good and finally the best of all is Federal Automatch.

You just don't know what your .22 will like until you try it.

I've run just about every brand of .22lr through my M&P 15-22 and literally never had a problem...except for RGB. I'd have at least three FTFs per mag.

This has been my experience.

In my Marlin 60, I've had about 20 out of the 525 be duds. With a Beretta Neos, it's about the same ratio, and with a 10/22 it's a few less. I don't really ever have issues with Federal bulk packs, American Eagle (although they're ridiculously expensive), and Remington is hit or miss.
