Hey everyone, I just recently bought a Bushmaster ACR and I need some help choosing a scope. I would like a scope with magnification because my vision isn't so great anymore. I plan to shoot up to 200 yards. My price range is up to a $1000. Any recommendations would be great!

The new Viper 1-4 PST(?) sells for around $500 ish should be good.
Otherwise a nice acog should fix you nicely.
If you want more magnification, the Super Sniper 3-9x42 should be a good all rounder.

Congrats on the ACR btw.

I have a Burris 1-4x24 Xtreme Tactical (http://swfa.com/Burris-1-4x24-Xtreme-Tactical-XTR-30mm-Rifle-Scope-P45510.aspx) on one of mine and like it a lot.

I haven't tried the Vortex Viper but as the happy owner of their awesome Viper binoculars I'd give the Viper (http://swfa.com/Vortex-1-4x24-Viper-PST-30mm-Rifle-Scope-P44569.aspx) serious thought.

I suggest budgeting $200 for a La Rue Tactical mount.

If you want more power the Super Sniper 3-9x42 (http://swfa.com/SWFA-SS-3-9x42-Tactical-Riflescope-P41044.aspx) would be a great choice, so would the Bushell Elite 4200 3-12x44 (http://swfa.com/Bushnell-3-12x44-Elite-4200-30mm-Rifle-Scope-P45484.aspx).

Thanks everyone for your input, I am actually leaning more towards an ACOG or the Viper PST. Decisions decisions.

While I realize the ACR is a "battle rifle" and the ACOG would compliment it nicely in the looks category...

Based on the above statements, I would be leaning more towards a Sightron SIII 8-32x or Burris XTR 6-24x, maybe even a Burris Black Diamond 8-32x. All have nice optics and the 8-32's should allow you to see your bullet holes at 200 yards depending upon just how bad your vision is.

Not knowing what your intended use is, all of the above scopes have lower power versions too. I prefer higher power since 99% of my shooting is from a bench for groups.

TA31 or TA11, then pick your favorite reticle.

I have a brand new Burris EuroDiamond 3-12 50mm, with the ballistic plex recticle! Normally I would say maybe that's too much scope for your ACR but you said your eyesight is not good so it probably would make any target come alive. It has a super clear view and really nice quality. They run $600 but I would sell it to you for $500 if your interested. Pm me if your interested, if not, I would still look into those Burris scopes, they are durable and very clear. My hunting buddies have used them for years in different weather climates and under rough conditions and they haven't ever failed them anytime.
