If you have any questions, feel free to email rather than pming us at Craig@tdsguns.com or Ken@tdsguns.com. You can also call the store from 10am to 7pm pst at 916-660-9091. So when you do a DROS, can you put 2+ lowers on one DROS or do you have to pay the $25 (or whatever it is) DROS fee twice?

TDSGuns
07-01-2010, 11:10 AM
We will do as many lowers as you want on one DROS
ALSO we are looking for dealers tell your local shop to call me and I will give dealer pricing. We ship anywhere.

Do you know what milspec means?

Another company has inexpensive lowers but they are cheaper because some holes are drilled in different places. It still works, you just cannot interchange ALL the parts in all the same places.

Another company makes their lowers out of something other that metal.

So to make a simple question really long, I guess I am asking what is different from these lowers that most others, are all the holes in the same place, are they customs, overruns, and so on. or am I going to pick these up and find no difference to the AR lower I have now other than the maker.

TDSGuns
07-01-2010, 3:06 PM
No they aren't bastard lowers. Aero makes lowers for many of the major companies you would recognise but I can't mention because they want you to believe they made them. Well all standard parts fit very nicely and we have Aero uppers that fit the lowers perfectly. We have sold more than a thousand of these lowers with no problems and if there were any we stand by all of our sales and product until the customer is satisfied.

Sorry, it's been a long week at work: your website indicates phone orders only, are you offering the same deal for someone who visits the actual store? Also there's mention that you're out of stock at the moment, so can you start a DROS without the actual lowers in stock?

You can get the same deal in the store and we can start DROS now. DOJ gave the ok on it.

I bought 5 of these. You can't beat the price and the store is one of the nicest and well stocked I've seen. Lots of variety and selection! I even got the t shirt for free!

But I think they need to give out free sodas. I drove 100 miles and it was pretty hot up there. Maybe when I pick them up :)

I'm still waiting to see if they get 308 lowers.

If you ship them to my FFL in VA, do I have to wait 10 days before you ship?

And if somebody buys 9, they deserve a kick in the arse for not buying 1 more for $30 less.

TDS Guns
07-13-2010, 10:22 PM
.308 lower are 379.00 for cal gunners and the 7.62x39 uppers are $649.00.

No we ship right away.

You want to buy 10 if your are thinking of 9, since at 9 they are $69 a piece. Once you hit ten they are all $59.00 apiece. You save $90 dollars on the first 9.

Yup...

$69 * 9 = $621
$59 * 10 = $590

You save money by buying 10 vs 9...

Thanks for posting this - I just got back from the trip ( ~90 minutes each way), and was pleasantly surprised to find that the store is really nice - not a hole in the wall/bunker or bare bones warehouse set up, but a nice commercial establishment in a decent looking big box type strip mall - not out by an airport or in an industrial zone, and not hidden away behind other businesses.

The staff didn't pounce on me when I walked in, but I received attention almost as soon as I stepped up to one of the counters.

Thanks to Michael for being careful and patient with my purchase and the paperwork, and to the other employees that answered my questions while I was browsing, and helped with my transaction.

The store was busy enough that I didn't get into any long conversations, but I did do a little chatting with the friendly staff - yes, they aren't lying when they say they are a friendly gun shop. The staff seems to set a good tone, and the other customers were all ready to be friendly and relaxed as well. I had a few questions, since I've never purchased an incomplete firearm before, and the answers seemed fairly reasonable and free form any FUD. The staff seem knowledgeable and well trained - and aren't afraid to check with each other to verify that they are giving "good" information.

While I was there, they gave out a bunch of free t-shirts to customers - even some making fairly small (i.e. a cleaning kit) purchases.

If I were closer to them/lived in the Sac area, they would probably become my first stop for gun shopping. As it is, I'm thinking of what else I may want to buy when I go to pick up the lowers (it wouldn't have been such a great deal if I had only gone for one, would it?) a week from Wednesday.

sonnyt650

They made good on that earlier promise and refunded the extra DROS (automatically tacked on by the computer and they need to manually remove it) so they're a stellar vendor IMO. Yesterday afternoon I put together both lowers and only had trouble with one portion, so I have a suggestion for your future in-store deals: roll-pin tools promoted aggressively by the staff. If they're somewhere in the store: no worries, my bad for not wandering around the aisles. In my defense though I got little sleep the night before being so excited to be able to pick up my new lowers.

Ok, I know I'm beating a dead horse but the lowers are very nice.
I personally own 7 and the consistency is spot on.

Milling is immaculate
Finish is near immaculate - Only one of the lowers had a very minor blem on the grip mount area
Caliber Marking = MULTI thank god!

These are VERY nice lowers indeed.
