Can anyone post a photo with a G36 and a P6 side by side? I found out the G36 fits my hand very well so I want to see how it compares to another handgun that fits my hand well. Thanks.

Just so happens I had both out at the same time and my camera at hand.

Here you go! Basicly the same size except height and bore...

Both are good guns... I prefer the glock same trigger pull.... But it's hard to beat the p6... My p6 is only bested by the 228 which holds more rounds.
Fact is in a day or so My P6 will be up on the list for sale ...

Wow thank!!! I did not expect G36's slide to be equal or even slightly longer than the P6.

How do you like the G36? Does the mag pinch your pinky? I've shot the G30 and really didn't care for it much. It was accurate, but the mag pinches me. The grip was a bit too big for me on the G21 and G30. I've handled the G36 at the store and found it to be very comfortable in my hand.

I too, like the consistent pseudo DA pull of a Glock. I like my Sigs for how well they fit my hand. I have a G19 and might get a G36 in the future.

How well do I like the G36? Lots... Best fitting Glock for me yet. I prefer it over any of my other guns for SD use. Even over my Colt Officers ACP or when I had a P7M8. The Glock for me replaced the Kahr P45 I had after a shoot out side by side comparison. The Kahr P45 twisted in my hand was tough to stay on target and had the long da pull... I hated it.. . The SIgs are great but I do not like the DA/SA for SD use. When I can have a trigger that is consistent and short reset.
No the mags do not pinch my fingers... But as you can see in the photo's my hands are not tiny.
The G30SF version works for me. better than the standard Glock 30 or 21. But not as good as the G36.

Something you may not know... THE G19 and G36 share the same holsters overall.... My Galco and Fobus fit each gun the same. Nice... a savings I like.
While G36's did have some issues mostly due to magazines...which has been fixed... I've never had an issue with any ammo FTF or FTE. Mine is an older one I actually traded for the Kahr P45. I prefer as you can see the zero pinky extensions they settle the gun down when firing. They keep it on target.

A week ago I took out my G36 and shot it against the SW 457 and awesome DA/SA gun not well known. also against my Colt Officers ACP 1911 45acp. I rented a G26,g19,G17 and also shot my P6, 228 and a sig 232 380.
Guess which gun I preferred?
You guessed it... The G36. The little G26 was 2nd and the favorite of the 9mm pistols I shot. I traded off the 232 for a Seecamp ... nother story.

The G36 and the G26 stay on target are fast to shoot well for me. Quick to get rounds out.

The other thing I like about the G36 is that it is thin. Near as thin as a 1911. The mags are not as thick as a true Double stack gun and carry better. OK you don't have 10+1 only 6+1 There is a big difference a choice you have to consider and the only real dowside to the G36. Remember our troops for years carried 7 rounds in their 1911's a 7 round mag and none in the pipe served our soldiers well in a few wars. Hits count on the CNS... only to quickly stop a fight. Not that I'd not want more rounds but I don't feel under gunned with 7 and a reload. of 6 ... but it's a consideration you must think about.

You have a G19 well done... the 36 will give you the same size but in 45acp. If you get a 30 Try out the 30sf. It's pretty good and you get 10+1. But with a bit more weight and thickness. and the mags are thicker to carry.

Some guys on the glock forum are taking 36 slides and putting them on 30sf frames. Hybrid. now you get a 10+1 gun with the thin slide. I've tried one out only in feel... it was better... But never shot one. ok more than you asked for typical of me. If you live in the Sacramento Area you can rent a G36 and G30sf at the Gun Room. Rent one first I always say then you will know. for sure.
Best to you!
