Just curious, as I just bought one for CCW and carry use. Did a search and haven't seen any posts, nor any for sale in the classifieds.

By all indications and reviews they are a big step forward in lightweight carry revolvers, with a great DA trigger and excellent felt recoil characteristics with the standard Hogue grip.

I'd love to have an LCP, but they are not rostered, and the used ones you see listed in CA for PPT sale are selling for $150 to $200 over the typical new street price. The LCR is rostered, and I found one NIB on Gunbroker for $389. It's on the way to jail now. :)

Big factor in favor of the LCR (or other pocket revolvers) vs. the pocket pistols is that it shoots a much more effective round - .38 special +P - versus the pretty wimpy 380 auto. 5 rounds, vs. 5+1 in the LCP, and having shot both, the LCR is FAR more comfortable to shoot, and to me, much better and faster sight acquisition. Obviously reloads take more time but in a SD situation....5 rounds sent accurately downrange should be plenty.

So, anyone here have and/or shoot one?

Thanks, most of those are from mid 2009 or closed for sale ads. Interesting that Google finds posts that the search function misses...!

Should be some owners along soon...a few people have posted that they have and enjoy the gun.

You may be the 1% of owning them in CA, because of the stupid roster.

As of a couple weeks ago, I'm an LCR owner. I really enjoy the thing. Keep in mind, I'm not the most experienced shooter, having just taken it up a few years ago, but the LCR feels good to me with .38 and +P. The +P does give a sharp kick, but I find there's not much flip up- it's more of a straight-back recoil. As of now, too, I've only put about 70-80 rounds (one trip to the range) through it.
In short, I'd buy it again!

Yep, I like my LCR a lot. Check my Youtube overview.

I'm talking about the LCR - which IS listed on the roster - not the LCP, which isn't. ;)

You can buy an LCR now...at least, until 5/29/2011...

I've been thinking about getting an LCR, but decided to get a full sized, .357 revolver that has more weight and would suit me and my fiance better.

Gotcha...have many of those already but they are a bit too heavy, big, and bulky for concealed carry use!

I can't think why anyone would prefer a snubbie for duty or range use, not accurate enough and not a lot of fun to shoot. But for SD carry they are ideal.

But if it's too big to carry all the time, comfortably, you won't carry it at all. ;)

Hello:
I have an LCR and overall I am pleased with it. It's small, light and seems to be well made. The trigger is smooth but you have to let ot travel all the way back to reset for the next pull. Not an issue, just something to get used to.

Its shoots well but as previously stated, it hurts after about 20 +P loads.

I purchased it for carry or backup carry and for that role, it works well. The price is right too.

Yeah. I made my mind up to get an LCR if I was going to conceal carry or open carry in the city, but as my only handgun I wanted something that would work better for HD and being out in the woods.

Bought one for my wife.
Trigger pull was the key. She's got carpal tunnel and other issues... can't pull the DA on a Smith. Can't rack the slide on a semi-auto (and not mechanically-minded enough to be able to clear a jam in even a non-stressful situation).

Got it a week or two before I got my RIA Tactical... been busy with work and on stuff around the house and we haven't had a chance to get either of them to the range yet.
