Wrenches made from laser cut 10 GA stainless steel (shouldn't have issues breaking the lugs off these tightening your car stock...) Size is approx. 11.5" L x 2" W. Vibrated finish.

http://66.220.2.198/ar15wrench/1.JPG

Fits the standard AR barrel nut, Daniel Defense Lite rail nut, YHM and others of similar design (only tested these 3 so far).

http://66.220.2.198/ar15wrench/2.JPG

Tighten your castle nut.

http://66.220.2.198/ar15wrench/3.JPG

Note: Wrenches will have stainless socket cap screws and not black as pictured, although I might be able to get some more if it matters. Also will not have the extra two holes pictured near the end for CAR stocks. (pictured was prototype)

Preferred method of payment is GUNPAL (free to register, c'mon guys.) Will also accept cash, check or discreet paypal and can meet FTF in Santa Clara.

Update: Some users had issues with the 3/8" socket drive deforming while torquing down their barrels, so I'm going to try 1/2" instead or another type stainless. Until then I wont be sending any more out. Anyone who already has one can PM me and I'll get a new one to you.

Not as of yet, but possibly. I've had great results working with my ARs using appropriate vise blocks.

What are the details for paying for one?

GunPal or Paypal would be easiest. Can send me a payment to thesidetalker at gmail.com, be sure to comment your CG username (helps with all the PMs).

You can PM me with any other questions.

Just double checking, but is the DD lite rail all the same? I've got a DD Omega 12.0 to be exact. Thanks.

You don't need this wrench to mount an Omega rail. It uses the standard barrel nut.

Edit- Unless it's an Omega X, I'm not sure. After reading their website it looks like these use the same nut as the Lite rails. I'll have to look into it.

The Lite rail uses a special nut. Maybe I'll have to add another pic to the original post tomorrow to show how it fits.

Yes, it is a Omega X rail. It says I need to buy their special wrench to install. I'll take one if it's what I need, thanks.

I've got an Omega X rail also and I'd be interested in buying one of your wrenches if it's compatible. One suggestion - if your wrenches are compatible, is there a way to get a socket hole by the spanner end (like the DD Lite Wrench) so we can properly torque down the Lite barrel nut? I realize there's a socket hole at the standard barrel nut end, but I don't know if that's sufficient to torque down something at the spanner end.

PM me if youíd be interested in testing your wrench with the Omega X rail. I live in the Bay Area. Iíve had my Omega X rail for almost 3 weeks now and itís driving me crazy that I canít locate a DD Lite wrench to fully install it. :banghead:

I'm interested, like the idea of DD lite w/ torque wrench hole. I'll take it when that happens.

by the way, does this fit regular barrel nut? just a little confused.

If you look closer in the second pic, the inside of the circle has the lugs for the DD Lite nut. The other, open side is for castle nuts. But, I suppose I could add another 3/8 drive for the other side if other people want it.

The socket cap screws fit around the standard barrel nut. Also fit in a YHM nut I tested.

Wow, I didn't even notice that! Nice touch!

So, can you confirm that your wrench will work with the Omega X rail system? I think it uses the Lite barrel nut, but I'm not 100% sure.

Correct me if I'm wrong. Wouldn't there be an issue if an FSB is installed on the barrel? I don't see how it can slip over the FSB.

Not yet, but it looks like it will work. The inner wrench lugs seem to line up with the notches on the Omega X barrel nut. I'll just buy one anyways and I can confirm later if it works or not.

Correct, it won't.

If you're changing your handguards and installing a new barrel nut however, you'll have to remove the FSB anyway, to get the nut off the barrel. I suppose if you're putting the barrel on a different upper receiver you wouldn't need to remove the FSB and flash hider. I'll have to make an option for an open ended design later.

+1. Super quality, and at 11-1/2" L and 1/8" thick, it's beefy enough to truly be called a "wrench".

Thanks

I got mine today and it's a nice, high quality product! It worked great and it IS compatible with the DD Omega X nut (same as the DD Lite nut). For those of you searching for a wrench to install your Omega X rail, BUY THIS WRENCH!!! BTW, you use the circular end with the 4 inner lugs to install your Omega X/Lite nut, not the spanner end like on the DD Lite Wrench.

Now...if only you can make a gas key staking tool...hmm...

Considering the DD LITE Wrenches were on backorder, this is a great deal. Installed my DD M4A1 RIS II fine.

One suggestion is that the 3/8" hole could use a little more reinforcement as it was starting to elongate, but other than that it's great! Thanks!

Have I completely missed the price on these?
Is it some kind of secret?

LOL. It was $20 shipped. I guess I accidentally deleted it when I edited my OP.

I guess I can post an update for other people still interested. I'll have more ready soon. Good results so far with 4130 steel hardened to 45 rockwell. I changed to a 1/2" socket drive and will be finishing them in either black oxide or powdercoat black probably.

I also added a notch to tighten the YHM jam nut.

I guess whoever can lock this thread, I'll make a new one later.
