What do you guys think about the Troy Industries carbine length drop in battle rails? I'm not looking for a free float just something to replace my moe handguards and for $110 these seem like the ticket! Thanks!

Troy is a solid name, can fully be trusted and counted on. I own a FF model, but would certainly use their drop ins.

Troy is up there with the big boys.

UTG has one for less, but if you want the look, go for Troy or DD.

the troys are nice and lock up sturdy. plenty of people use them without issue. surely you arent the first person to buy them right? ive used several of the drop ins, and own a FF model which has served me well.

have you looked at midwest industries? they make great sights and rails for the AR platform, while staying in the "upper mid" area of cost/value. they mill off less "excess" than the troy rails, so they are alittle heavier. but not by much

additionally, if you are near a store like riflegear in costa mesa, you can go there and get a chance to feel different rail systems and how they would look or feel. you may see something else you like better than troy.

you will be happy with it. I love my Troy, now it is a FF and not drop in as I said, but as others confirmed, they are a great name.

enjoy.
