Report the guy please: http://www.gunlistings.org/report.php

I was a little surprised that you would ask $950 for a mint Python on another site.

First let me say I have done a lot of business with Wbray and his guns are always top drawer. If you are lucky enough to be in a position to buy this gun, buy with confidence he is the real deal.

Unfortunately most of us poor saps in our “Great” State are unable to buy this piece of beauty.

Secondly someone is try to rip off an unsuspecting Colt collector. Just when you start to think it won’t happen in our little club, some slug reminds us we can’t let our guard down.

Yes be careful out there guys. Only do business with people with High I-Trader rating. Calguns is starting to get big and people are staring to get word of people buying/sending money out for products. This is starting to lead to Scam posting. Just ALWAY ALWAYS remember "If its too good to be true then its too good too be true" I'm not saying that the OP is trying to scam anyone but its VERY strange that this same guns is showing up on other website for sale. Good Luck best of luck to my fellow Calgunners!!

Do to the fact that your pictures and gun are being used in a widely circulated scam i would definately delete any and all info on this gun until its resolved, if this person scams someone and then they see this ad they might think you are the scammer and some how come after you. just my 2 cents

I agree completely, if someone here has a high itrader rating I think it is safe to say they are good for their word.

BTW why would he have to sell this to a LEO, this is legal for anyone to own in Cali right????

Because it's not on the CA handgun roster, therefore it can only be shipped to an FFL for transfer to an LEO. If the seller resided in CA, then the gun could be sold FTF as a PPT.

We CA residents can’t buy this out of state gun. It would have to be a C&R gun (over 50 yrs old) for anyone but a LEO to bring into the state.

Why would you want to ban the OP. He is being ripped off by someone who is using his pictures. He’s just trying to sell a NIB Python.

Don’t worry someone in TX will buy it and us Colt collectors in CA will miss another beauty.

O.K., first i would like to thank the members from this forum for helping me with this situation.

I had a friend of mine e-mail the sucker that he was interested in the gun.My friend got the phone number and gave it to me.I called the sorry sucker which he sounded like he was from another country.Asked him a few questions and then i just let him have it.I told him that was my gun and my pictures that he was trying to scam somebody and he better take gun off of those listings and i also contacted ATF and FFL to turn him in and then he hung up.

Here's the scammers phone number 217-903-4066.

I have alot of friends that live in Cali. and they also visit other forums that i'm a part of too.I'm just a Colt collector that lives in Texas that once and awhile i sale some of my guns and when this happened it really bugs the hell out of me.

Thanks again, and i will still offer guns for sale to Cali. members, i just wish your gun laws weren't so strict.

I'll give you the 995.00 that the scammers are selling it for (If I lived in a free state that allowed me to purchase such a fine revolver from an out-of-state seller, that is! Sadly, even if you were to accept my ridiculous offer, I could not even buy it because the state has decided that it is too dangerous for me to own. Nevermind I can have the stainless finish on the same model. But the blued one is just too scary!) Very nice handgun you got there. Wish it were mine.

*SALE PENDING*

Kudo's to you. Haven't seen such a pretty snake since the day my dad brought his home back in 1979. He was a part-time armored car driver and brought her into the house in the same condition- untouched, in the plastic wrapper, still in the grease. I don't think anyone has ever come close to the degree of perfection that Colt did on the finish and fit of that gun. Again, congrat's on the sale, and I hope the experience didn't sour you too much.
