The SWS comes with two barrel nuts - they're sort of stuck to each other in your pic

The way the rail works is you tension it down and align it with the the barrel nut. This means the tightness of the nut really matters.

So, what they do is give you two nuts - one that is machined with the holes rotated 1/2 slot.

You'll need to see which mates up better with your upper, then torque that one down.

i emailed him and downloaded his sws.dpms.installation. instructions.
the rail has a little nipple on the end of it where it meets the nut. that nipple on the rail doesn't fit into the holes on the barrel nut... should i drill that hole a bit bigger? when i bought it he did mention that i need to drill a hole for the gas tube when i install the nut but didn't mention anything about the nipple on the rail that meets the nut.
