I wouldn't say he's running an auction, this is just for potential buyers to know. I sent him a message shortly after it was posted and agreed to take it at his listed price if he could meet halfway between SF and Sac, and said "sure, Sat or Sun was best". I said Sat worked and asked him to mark it SPF, we would figure out the "where to meet" later. He messaged me back much later in the day and he said he "talked to a local fellow who would give him 500 cash this week." and would let me know if it fell through. I understand that it is his to sell and ultimately his decision, but in my opinion it is poor form to post a price here and start a PM bidding war for a higher price. SD is out!
