Take a look at the following videos. This guy helped me out a lot by gaining a basic understanding of the most common issues and troubleshooting them. I am posting this in hopes that it will help a lot of others like it has helped me, maybe its sticky worthy, maybe its been posted before.

Part 1: Introduction
https://youtu.be/IvTW1mHmw8g

Part 2: Gas Problems
https://youtu.be/ZgQWKgcea48

Part 3: Failures (FTF, FTEj, FTEx)
https://youtu.be/ykthHdtBfDg

I am in no way affiliated with this guy or trying to promote his channel. Simply want to share the best AR diagnosing videos I have come across yet.

Bahahhaha! I will admit out of the kits my brother and I have built (ak) my 74 is the only one that gave me problems I didn't check the head space and the rail was kinda tweeked. AR can be a pain in the beginning

I love this helpful tool - some hate on it, but it's a good starting point

Op ty some interesting info. I also got a great laugh out of the commies...um I mean comments.. seems like when people post something about a 1911 having a functional issue and someone posts a glock and says fixed. I am a equal opportunity shooter.

Yes, that and the PITA extra-large pic. I hate f-tards and a**hats.

Have pity on the AK guys! Not everyone can afford an AR!

joined in 01/2016 Welcome to the board,

Now friggin relax we're just having fun. And FYI i only have an aversion to one weapon and the AR and AK ain't it. I shot both both with equal vigor and enthusiasm

KC is a good guy and meant no harm, he's a knowledgeable guy who shares lots of great info here.
If you are on this forum a lot, you will know the recent topics of discussion and be able to see the subtle humor much better.
