^look just ahead of the screw for the trigger guard. It looks ground down, and filled with some kind of amalgam.

Picked the bottom one up for $99, I couldn't pass it up, and I'd been wanting a wall hanger.

But after seeing the bore, which looks brand new, I now HAVE to shoot it.

Finish appears original to me. 1939... no import marks.

Single action.

It has the following issues I've discovered:

Missing loading gate spring
Bent/worn mainspring with broken tab
Hand does not spring forward (Missing spring?)
Hand catches on frame
Non matching cylinder

The problem is mainsprings seem to be made out of unobtanium. Should I try bending this one?
And I can't find reference to a spring for the hand.
I can probably polish the hand up a bit to get it to stop sticking.

maybe heat it up with a torch and rebend it...

no spring on hand
looks like a good disassemble and cleaning
might get it running Nagant smooth again

Yeah it turns out a tab on the main spring snapped off and that's what's supposed to operate the hand
