Has anybody heard anything new about the Delta Elite coming back? There seemed to be quite a buzz a few months back, kinda died off lately. If they truly are going back into production, I'm going to tell my sister in Texas that she needs one for personal protection.:D

Won't be California approved so unless you're LE or find one PPT, you can liquidate all you want, no Delta for you! :)

Where there's a will, there's a way. This is a gun I would be willing to jump through hoops to get. Have you seen the pricing on the old models?:mad:

New DEs would be sweet. Found this one about 4 years ago, unfired, for $800. It's gone up in value a bit since then.

The Colt Delta Elite is a modified Colt M1911A1 chambered for the 10mm Auto. It is similar to the M1911 in design and operation. Colt manufactured both stainless steel and blued versions with 8-round magazines. A Delta Gold Cup model was also offered for target competition. All Delta models have been discontinued.

It is also credited as being the first weapon since the ill-fated Bren Ten that sparked a genuine interest in the 10mm round. The 10mm round has had a large resurgence with people in the outdoors and as a defense round. There are some documented cases where bears have been killed with the 10mm round and more Alaskan guides are now carrying them in the backwoods. There has been a surge in the fan base of the 10mm and many enthusiasts are buying the Colt Delta Government models for collection, defense and sporting purposes.

YES!! :jump::Ivan:

Speaking of the Bren Ten (the "Miami Vice" gun), Vltor is looking to produce a new and improved Bren Ten...
