Running out of room in the safe. Also thinking it would be nice to have all the handguns out of cases to see. I'm looking at these wire moulded stands. On my rifles I would never think of putting something that could damage the crown. Is this not true on a handgun? Is hanging by the barrel ok?

If you are talking about coiled wire, you could simply get plastic coated or insulated wire, if you are talking about rods to stand the gun on, how about Plasti Dip. (http://www.plastidip.com/home_solutions/Plasti_Dip)

If coated, I do not think it would be a problem, I just don't like throwing metal down the barrel that direction.
I like the Hyskore rubber racks. A little floppy on a big revolver like my 6" 686+, otherwise works fine.

The pistol rods are good to go. I have about 15 in my safe and NOTHING clears up space like these do. It's unused space anyways. They are so worth the price. Can't recommend them enough. AND the rifle rods are good too....they are plastic so no worries about damage to your rifle.

I made my own and covered the rods w/ clear dirtbike fuel line.

Soft and chemically resistant.

I am using the Armory Racks that replaced the Versatile racks that did not provide support for shorter pistols, like the Glock 26. Also, the Armory Racks provided more usable space for magazines and other accessories.
Armory Racks also gives free shipping for Calguns members.

My safe has the door panel with velcro (I think, to lazy to go look) and it has "holsters" stuck to the door. I think it came with 6-8, could probably buy more. Works for me, all the pistols are on the door easy to grab and go. Might be an option for you?

It looks like in your photo there is some sort of fastener (staple?) about half way on each rod that penetrates into the bottom of the shelf.
What are they and are they part of the manufacture's package or your brilliance? either way, they appear to make good sense.
Gotta ask-Is that a Python hanging up in there? Appears to have the telltale fluted back strap.
Looked at it again and I don't see vented ribs on top of the barrel so probably not.

I used 1/4" staples from my numatic stapler to stabilize them a little better.
