Tempting, but I'm not about to stand in line for hours just to save $100 off the regular price.

So only 170 items (rifles on sale)? some 2 per customer

Anyone know if that $99 10/22 is this same one: http://www.ruger.com/products/1022Carbine/specSheets/1103.html

Or do you think they manufacturer lower quality ones specifically for Black Friday like they do with certain products like TV's etc?

They are the same rifle. No lower quality. A ruger 10/22 is a 10/22.

u can go there dros first. when u pick up, demand for the on sales price.

since it will be the same sku #, turners will honor the advertised price.

You are so sneaky, but I love the way you think

It would be off sale when you go to pick up (ten days from now would be after BF).

Not quite true, 10/22's made after 2008 have gone down in quality due to Ruger cutting corners to maximize Shareholder profit. The barrel finish is crap, a lot of parts that used to be metal are now plastic, rough machining, etc.

I have a Stainless that I bought in 1994 that I compared to a friend's Stainless he bought in 2011 and he just about cried the difference in quality was so much. Ruger used to be a great company that truly cared about the quality of the guns they made - so sad to see the decline.

That withstanding, these sale 1022s are the same current ones you can get anywhere. Not made any worse.

The ad is a misprint and these really ARE cheap imitation copies of the real 10/22. Not worth ANYONES time to wait in line for. :whistling: :hide:

After you sell the barrel, stock and bolt you've got a receiver for about $50 to start your build.

I'd be willing to get there at 6am for this, but I doubt there will be less than 25 people in line by then

Hopefully the hoarders for the .22 ammo will be gone by now. I haven't come across .22 lr for that price in the past couple months. Here's a guy trying to pick up his first real .22 rifle..

My friend just told me there's a group of guys already in line at the WC Turners as of 12:30am.

Besides getting in line so you can get a ticket to buy a firearm, don't forget that you're also going to have to wait in that line as well just to buy & DROS it, which will probably take hours after the store actually opens..... unless they give you the option to buy/pay now and come back later. But by the time they get to your number for that, might as well DROS it right there since it'll just take another 10-15 min more.

I arrive at 5:50 am thinking I was too early....

Hell no  ...about 50 heads ahead of me already :(

I was able to get the 22LR Fed ammo though.

Anyone at the San Marcos turners? I have a pick up today and want to head over but not if it's still a raging madhouse. Forgot my 10 day was up yesterday so I can go any time today.

Might just go tomorrow, but I'd rather go today. Hate to pull a number and wait an hour for them to hand me my gun and check the ppwk in less than 5 minutes.

Got to the Norwalk Turners around early 3 and we were the 3rd and 4th in line. I think people that showed up at 5 something still were able to get in on the 10/22 deal. Got in and out real quick since we were in there early enough. At the register, the cashier asked me if I wanted both boxes to be the 325 round Federal ammo or did I want to buy a box of CCI mini-mag Choot Em special. She said I could only walk away with 2 boxes of either total so I walked away with one of each.
