I got a weekly email from Dicks sporting goods with a coupon for 20% off all bulk pistol ammo, limit of 4 boxes. Went into the San Diego store today and discovered that they also have an in store special for 25% off of all hollow point ammo. I don't think this sale was advertised, so I can't say whether this is going on at all locations. But for what it's worth, as of an hour ago, the DSG by Sports Arena had multiple brands of 9mm, .40, and .45 hollow point in stock and all on sale.

I don't patronize Dick's because of their shenanigans post Sandy Hook.

Went into Dicks twice, both visits were disappointing. 3rd time will NOT bet the charm.

WWB 9mm is a decent deal at $23.99 (after coupon) for 100rds.

I bought 4 boxes at the SD location yesterday.

Blazer 115gr 9mm 350rds was $95.99 with a carrying case. Not as good of a deal as the WWB but I bought that too.

The new VP9 is hungry!

I live in Pittsburhg, PA, Dicks headquarters, and around here you can find one all over the place. I will never forgive them after 2 years ago.

They were selling TROY AR's, first time troy came out with a full AR, decent price too, you could only order them and wait for them to come in and you had to put a deposit down on it. Then the whole gun scare came. They jacked their ammo prices up over night and then cancelled everyones order for the troy AR's, and then put them back on the shelves at over $600 more.

They also say the never have .22 ammo. its never available. Yet come black friday they have a TON of the remington bricks available at 1 box per person, just to get you in their store.

What sort of shenanigans did they engage in?

Dick’s Sporting Goods and also Cheaper than Dirt both were guilty of questionable business practices in the wake of the Sandy Hook killings. They both suspended sales of some firearms like AR's etc. and both raised their ammo prices to "Gouging" levels. Yeah, sure it's their business and they can do what they want but the facts are they pissed off a whole lot of gun owners/shooting enthusiasts.
