What CA legal .223 pistol, can a store like Wild Sports possibly be selling??
At first I thought it could have been a TC, but TC don't make a .223 pistol, only 22-250 Rem, 270 Win, & .308 Win.

So, yes, you're right, they are lame.

Do they honestly think your average kid packs a .30-06 pistol? Their staff has one hell of an attitude for sure. Since I reload now, its not an issue--Midway gets my $ now.
I knew a dude with a .30-06 pistol, lol. IIRC at Firing Line range in Huntington Beach they will not sell someone 18-20yo .22lr ammo even if they walk in with a long gun so chambered to shoot it in.

I notice the older employees yelling at the younger ones but I haven't really had any bad customer service experiences there. The same guy that sold me my first pistol 7 years ago was showing someone the same gun last Saturday.

I go there quite a bit for ammo because of the good sales they have with coupons. Thats about the only thing I buy there though. Im a very frequent buyer of that XM193 .223 under the rack of waders or whatever lol. Matter of fact I was in there Sunday. Ive never really had a problem there, but then again im almost 30 so I wouldnt have the age issue. Ive actually had more 'issues' per say at RCGE all be it most the guys at RCGE are cool cept for a couple tools mixed in lol.

I have always had good service there. As previously stated Gary is really nice and helped me get my Glock23 in the OD that I wanted.

i tried to buy a 10-22 there a couple months back, the old man behind the counter said i could not, cause my dl did not have a street address on it.
                  i use a po box.

but that has not stoped other stores from selling me any long guns or pistols.

as the day i stoped in there i had just picked up my new pm9 across town.

they have not been the best place i have been in....nor the worst, that title goes to a very small shop in reno and they call them selves...
................... "the friendlst gun shop in reno"
never go there and let it be know you are not from nevada they will say get out.

is it near fair oaks? that was the rudest bunch of a-holes i have ever seen. i went there for my uncles funeral and he lived about a mile from there , so we stopped in to check them out. when i walked in its like a bunch of evil stares pointed at you. and the service was crap.

Wow.....Wild sports is getting tore up! Way back a few years their customer service skills were a whole lot better then now. Recently I have went for various items for my shooting needs and some reactions I got were mixed. Maybe one hopes they are seeing this and change their attitudes to turn things around, but then yet again the damage maybe already done!

Back in February 1991 I purchased a Raven MP-25 auto pistol and they charged me tax on the $10.00 dros. I didn't discover the error until ten years later but when I brought it to their attention they promptly corrected the mistake even though the original receipt was somewhat smudged with coffee and beer stains.

Here it is today and looking as shiny as the day I brought it home.

When I originally bought that little jewel it was only $59. The photo was taken last year on a $10,000 pile of C-notes that briefly occupied my coffee table. Still have the gun though....

                                Here's a thought:

Warning others about a bad gun shop is ok, but what would be even better is to work to help the store shape up.

You folks who live near Wild Sports ought to consider contacting the owner (not the idiots behind the counter, but the Wild Sports Big Cheese) and pointing them to this and other threads complaining about customer service. If he didn't know how bad it was, this may be a way to help open his eyes. If he gives out a big "FU," then the fault is on him.

                                -Jason
