HK USP45 Match Trigger Install ?'s

Did HK take the rebound spring out of their hammer in the last few years? I just pulled my hammer & I hope it didn't drop out, because it's not there. Also, the match trigger kit came w/ a "special" (polished) hammer, and it, too, has NO rebound spring in it. Help!!!

what do you mean when you say rebound spring? the only actual spring is right above the trigger. and the kit comes with a flat spring.

That's what it is called: Rebound Spring. It is a small spring that sits inside the hammer. Visible from side & rear.

I believe mine came with one with the kit, if you are missing it it either fly out while you were taking it out( mine did and i found it) or it was missing. it is a bit tricky getting it back in there.

Finally finished the installation. Not bad at all. The "infamous" flat spring replacement was probably the easiest part. The only real "nightmare" of the whole thing was getting that MO****F*****G TRIGGER SPRING IN!!!!! Wow....if someone knows a trick for this, PLEASE share for next time!!!! I did hit 2 pretty major bumps in the road, both being my own fault. The first time I got it all back together, I realized my 2 big mistakes. First, the hammer wouldn't move/trigger was "locked." And, I also realized that one part I didn't have the foresight to think about was that the adjustment screw needs to be installed into the back of the trigger before putting the trigger in the frame. After "RE-disassembling" the rear of the FCG, I realized that I had merely installed the sear in backwards. No big deal, it was my first time with any detail maintenance of an HK pistol. Problem solved. HOWEVER...even though I wasn't too thrilled about having to take the damned thing BACK apart, there was absolutely zero chance I was going to pull the trigger pin again. Z . E . R . O . (this part, and probably the rest of this "little" report, can most likely be related to by anyone else who has done this particular install). Well, to wrap it up: it took me the better part of an hour wrestling w/ that little screw; trying and failing many times to manipulate it with tweezers & micro allen wrench; attempting to get it into the BACK of the trigger. FINALLY....success. And it was worth it. At least @ the dry-firing-level, this trigger is worth its weight in platinum. The smallest tweak, either way, of the adjustment screw gives an amazing amount of different trigger pull "feeling" in your firing technique. I would absolutely recommend this swap-out for anyone with a stock USP. http://www.robertrtg.com/uspmatchtrigger.html
