My Krag Has Arrived!!!

    I just got an email from CMP that states they are no longer selling the Krags online or through the mail anymore. The only way to get one now is show up at one of their 2 stores and buy it in person. Too many people were complaining they got junk.

    (but yours looks good; looks like you beat the odds with that one)

      I'd like to buy another one. Perhaps a carbine, if I could find one in good shape. Unfortunately, I don't get out to Alabama or Ohio much...

      Maybe I can route one of my work trips through there sometime and check out the store.

      Krags are unique rifles! Definitely a piece of history. Ammo is tough to find, though...

      I ordered some 30-40 from Midway last week, so it should be here any day. I'll let you know how she shoots. Krags weren't notorious for accuracy, like the 1903s were, but they were pretty good battle rifles for their time...

        Try using an electric bore claner on yours. They work miracles.
