      If you had the patience, you could open up the bore on a 0.625" FSB to 0.720" or so as necessary.

        What about turning down the tip of the barrel to .625 and creating a shoulder step to retain the handguard endcap?

        It seems like it would be easier to reprofile the tip of the barrel than to ream the FSB.
