What do you care? You haven't had anything in the for sale section for more than 3 months. It's OK; Jesus loves you, me, and everyone in the For Sale section. He loves the For Sale section just as much as He loves the Off-Topic, and He loves the Zombie and SHTF threads just as much as He loves the "Thread About Nothing" threads.

In fact, I often ask myself, "self?" I ask, before posting a complimentary bump within the For Sale section... "Hmmmm... now CALI-gula... What Would Jesus Do?" The really weird part is when He sends me a text message in reply.

    Good luck!

      1) you can increase your number of threads on a page, it is in your User CP

      2) if one give up the marketplace, then he/she may miss some freaking good deals!

Saw this on a bumper sticker once... Jesus loves you, everyone else thinks your an A hole!

For reals though, I appreciate the sale forums, it seems a vast majority of the memembers do since many seem to be sales only posters...

Bumping your ad more than say 5 times in 2 weeks should be disallowed maybe though.

It also seems that many have a friend or someone bump their ad for no reason really as well. I try not to do this and rarely do. When I bump someones sale ad, it's because they have a very unique item or one I feel is reasonably priced and should be rewarded with a bump.

I see way to many speculative prices and people trying to rip others off so I try to reward the good guys.

One guy I know listed a gun at a fair price, I figured he could have got more but he said he was embarrased to try to gouge!

          1) It's already maxed out
          2) That can happen even with the number of threads maxed out

The reason I haven't had anything for sale in a while is because of the BS that goes on in that section which is why I brought up the subject to begin with.

I gave up posting things for sale here and sell on another forum. But as I stated before I hate wading through the same ads day after day looking for something I might be interested in buying.

I have 3 handguns I thought about putting up for sale here but decided against it. After all, I wouldn't want to interfere with someone who "deserves" to have their sale bumped 14 times in one day with asinine comments.

              I.
I also sell few items here on CG but mainly for different reasons than why you don't. Mostly due to window shoppers, flakes, tire kickers.

My guns I get rid of are usually given to friends or sold thru auction or consignment cases.

I do limit comments and bumps as mentioned for very fair priced items or very unusual ones usually to be fair. If you have such an item you may get a free bump from me occasionally.

For sale forum is for sales. I personally skip by an item that has lots of posts on it - too much background noise to filter out. If you want to have someone ooh and ahh your stuff, post it in the appropriate gallery thread.

I'm all for nothing but the facts and an efficient interchange of info needed to either buy or sell the item. I think the rules for sales forums should be really tight, OP's info and pics, potential buyers questions, OP's answers, and time limited bumps, and potential buyers "I'll take it PM" sent. Period, that's it. If that "I'll take it" doesn't, then OP can post that info to bump it to the top again. Everything else wastes sellers and real potential buyers time.
