Priority, and my turnaround is a couple days right now. Priority is usually 2-3 days in transit, so 4-5 days total.

OK... seriously? DO NOT PM OR EMAIL ME AND TELL ME YOU'RE GOING TO USE A MAG REPAIR KIT FOR ILLEGAL PURPOSES! I WILL NOT SELL YOU A KIT IF I HAVE REASON TO BELIEVE THAT YOU WILL COMMIT A CRIME WITH IT!!!

As there are legal ways you could have obtained hi-cap mags that weren't in production prior to 2000 I don't have a problem dealing with them. The law states that it's illegal to sell, offer for sale, give, lend, manufacture or import hi-caps after '99. As the law leaves some legal methods (for one party anyway) to come into possession of hi-caps after '99 there are those out there that legally possess them. As well, there are ex-LE and others out there who could legally purchase hi-caps after the ban but may no longer be in a position to buy new hi-cap mags and need repair parts. This is a far cry from somebody who would PM about kits for mags that weren't made prior to 2000 with this:

Quote:
Just to make sure...If someone wanted to break the law with these kits they could put them together with all the parts included in the kit to make a Ca. illegal mag.??
This is not the first PM like this; in fact, it's not even the first one today. I really enjoyed the other one (both people with 0 post count BTW) who described some mags he "saw at a friend's house" and wanted to get some of the same. Seriously? Come on now...

I treat everybody here like adults and I don't feel that it's my job to question people's intentions. However, I will not participate in something I know is illegal.... even if it's not illegal where I live! Parts kits are NOT ILLEGAL to own, but if you choose to manufacture new magazines with them YOU ARE COMMITTING A CRIME IN CA! If I have reason to believe you are going to commit a crime with these parts I WILL NOT SELL THEM TO YOU.

1: Let's not turn a FS thread into speculation on who/where/why. Thanks.

2: Don't ask people here to break the law. They tend to do things like, oh... report you to the moderators. Calguns is a law abiding community. If you want to buy things for illegal purposes, do it elsewhere.

That's all for now. Carry on with thread in progress.

Just a bump to thank Lance at LAK for his great service and for putting up with the aggravation he sometimes faces in order to assist law abiding Californians in need of repair parts.

I second that sentiment. I can understand how busy this time is right now and Lance does respond to emails very quickly which shows what kind of a business person he is. Thanks Lance for the feedback and support.

I'm curious. What does one do when a guy dies and leaves behind a bunch of high cap mags? I actually encountered this situation and chose not to buy any of the estate which was all gun stuff because I didn't know the law. What was the widow supposed to do with them??????? Could SHE even technically have them? It's so frikking bizarre.

Thread jack? you will get way more help, and help others out to if you start your own thread. Lak is offering a service, let your questions pertain to that

I'm actually buying magazines from Lance and keeping this thread active will keep it on top but really like Timberland said, staying on topic is more productive. This isn't a 'how to' thread. If someone wants to know more about hi cap legal info. there are tons of existing threads. Its better to take a few minutes and read the answers to the same questions that have been answered patiently, in detail and many times over.

FYI to all with PM's that haven't been replied to... I've been out of town the last 5 days for the holiday and am currently hung up in the Denver airport. All I've had to work from is this PDA, so writing up tickets or checking stock etc. has not been possible. I'll be getting back to everybody and shippig the paid orders over tomorrow and Tuesday. Sorry for any inconvenience, and thanks for the patience.

On the up side... we finally have kits for Mini and G19 inbound, and my order of 10/22 kits is FINALLY ready to head my way.

UPDATE... I have shipments starting out as of today. These go back to orders that were paid for early last week due to my being out of town for most of the week. I don't have everything out yet... I'll be working again tonight until everything else is broken down and packed. Sorry for the delays... backlog and holiday really put me under, but I'm getting them out...

Ok... finally got the first round of 10/22 kits in. Tomorrow will be spent catching up on inventory and returning calls, PM's and emails. I'll be contacting those who have pending orders that can be filled as well. Once again, thanks for the patience... this has turned into a second full time job and there's only one of me. If I miss anybody please do let me know... it's not intentional and I want to make sure everybody is covered.

Just to let everybody know... I'm going to start shipping partial orders. I have a lot of dollars tied up in inventory for orders that are waiting for backordered product right now. If your order is partially complete with stock items you'll receive a PM in the next day or so.
