A 243 wssm would work on an AR-15 lower. Theres a 6x45 that would work in a standard lower as well. For a 243 win, you'd have to go to an AR10 type lower.

For a standard AR15 lower? Was it single feed only? I don't think you could fit a typical loaded 243 in an AR mag.

DPMS makes a 243 upper for their lowers.

They still do special runs.
Call and they may have them available.

These are obviously for AR-10's, NOT for AR-15's.
AR-10 bolts are HUGE compared to AR-15 bolts.

Those WSSM uppers are special hybrid uppers with opened up receivers, turned down AR-10 extensions, special handguards etc...
Almost NONE of the important parts follow standard AR-15 specs.

you mean the -15 fire control grp in relation(dimensionally, as is, in a -15 lower) to the larger AR10 bolt and b/c?

243 Win is essentially a 308 Win necked down for a .244 caliber bullet. You'd need a AR-10 lower.

I have tried .243WSSM ammo in an AR-15 mag and noticed that it barely fits. Have also heard of rifles, but have never seen one. Making it work sounds like a nightmare, but ballistics would seem to be the ultimate for the AR-15 platform.
