Agreed, nice lever rifle.
Good luck with sale.

some people describe as a 30-30 lever action rifle but caliber is different, which is why I asked.

It appears from the pic to have a cross bolt safety which was introduced in 1992 and replaced by the tang mounted safety in 2003.

Angle Eject (AE) is a very recent addition. 80's? 90's? Sorry, don't have my Winchester book handy.

This rifle is still available for $350. I havent checked into it or not but I am told that the stock is covered under warranty. This rifle was purchased around 1996. You would have to call Winchester to find out. I am in the Victorville area.

HUH?

http://www.winchester.com/

Never out of business, just under new management.

Usually destroyed by Harvard/Yale/Stanford graduates who are hired to run these companies but drain it of all capital with exorbitant salaries/bonuses/stock options then dump the company or declare bankruptcy to protect their bonuses. Maybe a couple smart bombs will alleviate America with the burden of theses Harvard/Yale/Stanford graduates looking for a free lunch.

BUMP for a nice looking firearm.

According to the Winchester web site the model 94 is no longer in production, along with a few other rifles no longer in production. I bought mine 6 months before the stopped making them. Great rifle to have. It was in production a very long time.

Q. How does this announcement affect the service and repair of the Winchesters I own or Winchesters I may buy this year?

A. Service is not affected at all by the plant closure. It continues from our network of Winchester Authorized Repair Centers (ARCs) and/or from our service facility in Arnold, Missouri. We have a continuing commitment to service that is an unchanged part of the Winchester legacy.
