Default 2008 SCPRC Roster

Hey Men,
This is the current 2008 SCPRC Roster as of today; 5-31-08. This IS NOT the shooting order or team you will be on, just those who have sent in their SCPRC Entry Forms with entry fees paid. We "may" accomodate squad requests, however there are no guarantees. Most likely what you see will change, in fact count on it. We will have teams of 6 shooters each as we did last year. Teams ALPHA thur FOX

THE 2008 SCPRC IS NOW FULL.

There will be no refunds on entries. Medallions, Shirts and other gear has been ordered. If you can't attend you can have someone take your place.

Wow of that list it looks like 9 are SOCal Calgunners, 10 are on the SoCal team for the N/S shootout and about 12 or 13 have been or are regular shooters at the APS matches, Watchout WEGC here we come.

Just added a couple more to the list. Almost there and I still have a few slots for our Military Folks.

Looks like a competitive list either way.

Default SCPRC Hotel "Comfort Inn" in Fontana

Hey Men,
Just to mention it again, the "Comfort Inn" in Fontana is where I recommend people to stay if they plan to shoot at the 2008 SCPRC. It's less than 10 miles from the range and has a Starbucks, Gas Station, Denny's and Logans Steakhouse right outside the hotel. It's clean and right off the I-15 Interstate off of Baseline Road, just two exits down from the range's exit which is Sierra Ave.

You can camp at the range, but you need to be self contained. There are porta-potties and water from a spring but that's it. Up to you.

Regards, Spaniard

What? No vending machines with chilled mineral water and carbonated beverages? What's next? No cookies with our evening tea? No shade umbrellas at the well groomed firing lines?

You suck!!

Here we go, you get one dissident going and the rest fall in line....

To illustrate an example of my compassion to the GP (General Public) I am going to purchase Kool-Aid packets for the first time for all my RO's including the loudest dissident in my ranks, my scorekeeper. I figure one small pack normally used for a glass of water for the 5 gallon containers is most sufficient. No sugar though, that costs allot of money and may only come after 5 years of diligent service to the SCPRC.

Now if that isn't an example of humanity, I don't know what is.....

This isn't the shooting order, just the list of those who are "Paid in Full".

It will change and you will know the day of the match. When we do the shooters brief that's when you'll know.

It looks like we will have 6 teams which is just right.

Spaniard - is the equipment list going to be pretty much the same as last year - same rounds (150) etc. I want to make sure I have enough of the same everything (ammo wise) to last me through this coming months practice sessions and the match.

Hey Bill,
Yes 150 rounds should cover the match, you can bring more but I think that it will be enough.

The most that we would fire at any one stage would be 10 rounds no more.

I have planned between 10-14 stages overall, its logistics and what not.

Prone, dirt, barricades, and props etc.

Paper, clay pigeons and maybe some caveman stuff, 18"x18" steel targets at 200 yards...

I wonder if that would be big enough at that range...

Paper is my thing as most of you know, you can always pull it out to double check a score, can't do that with steel.

A competitor that is coming told me he just did a match down south and their was an issue with called and no-called steel. Some say there were hits, some say no there were no hits it gets a little fussy.

Paper or reactive targets (soda cans, clay pigeons, etc) you know for sure if you hit them, easier to score too.

I like steel, for a major match though I prefer things I can accurately count and recount if I have too.

But I am going to try and weave some steel in their since we now have a Firewagon Trailer just in case.
