Default Guns from CDNN?

Have any of you ever purchased a firearm from CDNN? I ordered some mags from them and they mailed them with a catalog full of very desirable surplus handguns at extremely desirable prices. I guess what I want to know is if they do California firearms sales, ie switch out the high caps with 10rders.

You can download the catalog @ their site. However the prices are not included, they are however in the printed version.

The mags were a great deal BTW, they were brand new Sig factory. CDNN even tossed in a free mag along with a Chinese made Swiss Army Knife.

CDNN doesn't ship handguns to CA.

I think they recently changed their policy on shipping guns to Cali. Some of their ads listed "CA OK".

They changed their minds again. The newest catalog no longer has the CA OK symbols.

Just make sure the gun is CA legal and have it shipped to an out of state FFL like lanworld in Utah. He'll forward it to your local ffl.

That's too bad, they've got great prices. Don't they realize how much can be made, we're not called the Golden State for nothing. I don't know if this is true, but most local dealers I've asked say that California gun buyers buy a lot more guns, regardless of our strict laws.
Anyhow, I hope they change their mind again, their prices on HKs are .

I spoke too soon, or typed too slow. Good advice, now I gotta make some connections out of state.

plinker, thanks, I read the link. However, no one answered the question you posted about a out of state ffl. I and I'm sure many would like to know for future purchases.
The only thing I'm worried about is that piggy backing through another ffl would probably incur further shipping expenses, which would negate the initial savings.

I've been getting the CDNN catalog for a few years now and I've seen a lot of guns I've wanted at very attractive prices, first handgun I tried to order was a single action revolver, that's when I found out they don't ship handguns to California, I assumed it was it was something about the DOJ list and not be able to know for sure what is on it, (this requires the ability to read and use the Internet), I tried to explain to them that single actions aren't required to be dropped tested, all are approved for sale in California, they would not discuss the matter and held firm to their policy, this is their right. I have the feeling that at some point they ran afoul of California law, had a problem and are now holding a grudge about it. Last year the catalog came out with some handguns marked California OK, however all the guns marked California OK you had to call for price, on all the other handguns the price was marked, this made me think they would have "special pricing" for California residents when you called. The whole thing just left bad taste in my mouth because I detected a touch anti Californian bigotry, that was not the first or last time I had run into that in the gun business.

I purchased a USPc .45ACP from CDNN less than a year ago. They just needed a local FFL to accept the pistol.

If they no longer do that it really sucks.

People have done it using CWS and LanWorld, Inc. They don't make much off it so they're not real interested or motivated, from my contacts with them. The double shipping + fee tips the cost up enough it makes the guns less attractive

Maybe someone should organize a group buy? I wonder what they'd do?

Group buys for something like this are a poor choice. Group buys only work well (unless the organizer can make money for their extensive time/effort to make it worthwhile) when there are only a few choices of items (say, 3), the same maximum number of choices of FFLs.

Really it works best single FFL, single item. But for a savings of maybe $40, it's often not worth the effort.
