The same question for SoCal would be no. I suspect the Ed Brown market in your area is worse. MSRP or online might be your only choice.

Old West Gun Room in El Cerrito has a couple in their display. Call them because I didn't look at the price.

In my experience, prices don't vary a whole lot on these custom guns. Wilson & Nighthawk move more.

Nighthawk and Wilson have much nicer customer service whom will bend over backwards to make things right with warranty and satisfaction, Ed Brown would not give a care if your brand new gun worked or not.... I had a Special Forces which was fine and great pistol, I went out and bought a Kobra Carry because I liked the SF so much.. the KC was a dud, had FTF & FTE issues, locking up every round, tried all types of mags.. nothing worked, finally called Ed Brown, got the run-around.. after a couple of calls with no direction other than more money to pay EB to fix their new gun, I just off load it along with the SF, will never buy EB again... I learned later I was not the only one this happens to.. How they survive , time will tell....

Hang in there, I might put my shooter Nighthawk Talon up for sale soon!!! Been shooting my Predator more often and the Talon is not getting the range time...

Other than the expensive shipping one way because Perry, Missouri isn't a normal overnight delivery for FedEx or UPS, I found Ed Brown's service to be outstanding. The thumb safety on my KC cracked. The gun was over 3 years old. I called and spoke with Ed's daughter who just said........send it back, we'll fix it.

In my letter, I mentioned that my normal load is a 200 gr. SWC. When I got the gun back in 8 days with the new safety, I also noticed Ed rethroated the barrel nearly all the way up to make sure it fed the SWC's. I was very happy.

Granted, they aren't the most sociable of people on the phone, especially if Travis, Ed's son answers the phone, but they do good work and they do it quickly.

BTW, Ed doesn't allow his guns to be sold at prices lower than MSRP except for a very few dealers. Sporting Arms no longer sells the Browns because Brown didn't like their lower prices.
