3TMC Tactical Medicine (Restricted: EMS / LEA / GOV Only) - March 29, 2014
This 8-hour Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) course designed for first responders (LE, GOV, EMS) will empower you and your team with the skills needed to successfully function in high-stress situations and treat the three leading causes of preventable combat death: uncontrolled hemorrhage, tension pneumothorax and airway obstruction. The course is presented in cooperation with ADAPTAGEAR, by 17 year USAF distinguished veteran Luigge Romanillo and a cadre of AFSOC Pararescuemen.
KMI Applied Tactics in partnership with ADAPTAGEAR present:
Course: 3TMC Tactical Medicine (Restricted: EMS / LEA / GOV Only)
Date: Saturday March 29, 2014
Eligibility: EMS / LEA / GOC Only: Copy of Active ID for Verification
Cost: $300 (introductory price)
Duration: 1 Day (8 hours: 830 am to 430pm)

During the first half of the course, students are introduced to the essentials of Operational Medicine. Students will learn to use ADAPTAGEAR’s 3TMC™ medical kits with a focus on traumatic accidents, active shooters, bombings, and/or other disaster-type scenarios.
In the second half, we go a step further and introduce students to Mass Casualty Incidents (MCI’s) from a Law Enforcement and/or Emergency Medical Services point of view. Using the 3TMC method, students learn a streamlined and effective approach to dealing with various types of MCI’s. Using high-stress, scenario-based training with simulated wounds and role players; students are provided with a multi-dimensional learning environment.
By the end of the course, students will be able to:
* Follow the 3TMC mnemonic
* Identify when they’re in a high risk or hostile situation
* Methodically determine a medical response
* Open airways, apply tourniquets, pressure dressings, and effectively use occlusive chest seals
* Prevent, Identify and Manage hypothermia
* Active Law Enforcement (Federal, State or Local)
* Military (Active, Reserve or Guard)
* Active EMS personnel
Attendees can provide a copy of their active identification (remove/block SSN) for verification. False representation of qualifications will prevent attendance and forfeiture of course fee.
No outside weapons or ammunition allowed in the facility at any time.
The 3TMC course is appropriate training that should be taken by all new recruit police officers and deputy sheriffs up to the veteran SWAT officers, as it extends their law enforcement first responder/public safety first aid training to the next level to handle violent critical incidents. 3TMC truly increases officer safety and survivability.
