extremely rare modern production ( last year winchester was making lever guns) winchester large loop saddle ring compact ranger carbine ( yes, ranger) in 357 magnum. this rifle is extremely rare. comes with factory letter directly from winchester. very limited production with only around 60 made. you wont find this rifle in any of the books, thats how rare it is. it is extremely small with a 16" barrel and compact factory stock. the gun has a couple of light handling marks on stock, but is virtually in new condition. winchester themselves valued this rifle in the $2000 range in a recent conversation i had with there historian.

$1000 out the door

+1 on the Ruger .308/.311 information.
Absolutely spot on.

Anyone hear the thinking behind this engineering marvel. I wonder why they have SAAMI specifications.

The barrels and chambers are made to handle the pressure of a .311 bullet.

the mini 30s were designed like this because all us made 7.62x39MM ammunition is manufactered with.308 bullets, rather than the .311 that are readly available in the communist block.

if you own a 30, even if you dont buy this one, get yourself some .308 7.62x39 ammo for it and shoot some groups. youll be extremely happy with the results over the .311 comblock ammo

and yes, they barrels are manufactered to handle the presure of the 311 bullets, thats why they ( ruger) manufactered them with the 311 forcing cone, to force the 311 ammo down to 308, BUT accuracy suffers bigtime. o own a mini 30 that a former customer of mine bought and send into accuracy systems and had them completely redo the gun ( to the tune of about $1800.00 bucks) he got it back from them, bragging about how accurate it was. i challenged him, and we went to the range. he shot his "accurized" mini 30, and i shot a bone stock out of the box mini 30, with fac tory loaded federal ammo. i shot 5 1 hole 3 shot groups at 100 yards, he shot 5 1" groups at 100 yards. needless to say he was highly dissapointed in his 1800.00 accurizing job. looked slick, but didnt shoot any better than the stock gun with the proper ammunition...lol

i am in shasta county,17 miles above burney california (75 mi above redding)

i can ship any of the guns, but of course id have to charge a shipping fee ( whatever it cost to ship it).

also, anyone wanting to see the guns in person can give me a call ( email me for my number) and can come up and along anytime.

the winchester is really pretty interesting. the size isnt really transmitted in the photo, but one of the appealing things to me about the gun ( other than its in 357 mag, and that its as rare as it is) is the fact that its so damn small. i have a 9 year old son, and i had him hold it up like he was going to shoot it, and it fit him perfectly. also, my wife stands 6ft ( yes, im married to a 6ft amazon redhead) and she said it is one of the most comfortable rifles shes ever shouldered.

someones going to get a hell of a deal on that winchester for sure. ill try to get a picture later with someone holding it so you can see the size . the only winchester ive ever seen that was as small is one that was manufactered years and years ago with a 14" barrel. i cant remeber the name of it but didnt really get produced because of the barrel length

would also consider trades on the following
quality series 70 ONLY 1911s (like colt,springfield,kimber,etc) in 5" or commander,officer in 45acp or 38 super , springfield longslide 1911, thompson center contender or encore rifle/carbine,ruger vaquero bright stainless in 4 5/8 45LC,bolt action 308 or 204 ruger,AR lower receiver (non-list california,no-fab10),s&w 500,desert eagle,M-1 carbines (no johnsons),garand,M14,FAL style rifles, or ???

open to other ideas. not really interested in revolvers unless there at LEAST 6", and full lug barrel.

oh, i also forgot to mention

just because the shotgun says "baikal" on it, dont let it fool you. its one of the EAA imports, and the quality on its way way better than just the regular baikal.

i also forgot to mention that it is the model with the screw in choke tubes, and comes with 5 tubes ( F/M/IC/CYL/CYL) .i put 6 rounds thru it and it patterns as nicely as my red label and my weatherby athena.

someones got to have some offers or trades in mind, come on guys!

Free bump for a good guy. Kaptain is good people! He gave me a great deal, was SUPER easy to deal with, and his merchandise was BETTER than he described it. I couldnt be happier... dealing with him was by far the easiest, best transaction I have had here at Calguns. I have ZERO reservations recommending him as an A+++ seller. Buy with confidence.
