You don't have to wait for Tan/FDE... buy that b!tch and make it Yours! Too many ways to customize a rifle ... no reason to wait (or mimic)

LoL - I sent Mossberg an e-mail to get the body/chassis/stock in Tan/FDE, after I saw a limited MVP Thunder Ranch in OD!

I will wait for the TAN/FDE

While, I wait...I'll be enjoying shooting my MVP 223/556! I've enjoying the nice tight grouping under 2.5" @ 100 yards!

As you know they are the caliber that are offered are .223/5.56, and .308! But that's not all!

Yes, 300 AAC Blackout! (300BLK) Yes, did I not mention that too?!

January 14, 2014 a letter by Mossberbeg was Immediate Release on the new calibers!

I'm not big on 300 BLK, but Im sure someone out there is! see?!

I picked up a MVP Varmint mod with 24'' barrel from Kentucky gun works, for 467.00 shipped , good place to check on prices, it was a ''special'' on line.

I am a mod on mossbergmvp.com. Come over there and join the fun of the MVP. I really enjoy it, but the gun is one of the most accurate factory rifles I've ever fired. .3-.5" groups from Factory RELOAD VMAX ammo. Unbelievable.

These are AVERAGE groups at 100 yards with an MVP. They are pretty much all Sub-MOA at 100 in either 3 or 5 shot groups.

Ever seen a grown man giggle?

Picked up the MVP Patrol today. Got it home and put a 3X9 scope on it and next Weds I'll be at the range with it.

My old AR mags fit but feel loose at the front. We'll see how they work in a week.

I've had a Patrol for about a month. I've already shot about 600 rounds. I love this rifle. I am using a 3x9 bug buster. The accuracy is very good, easily 1 inch moa at 100 yards. You have to really work the bolt at first, it seems to like to play rough lol. But after about 100 rounds, the bolt works great.
I'm going to start saving for the .308, as my 11 year old son is claiming the 5.56 for himself. By far my favorite rifle to shoot.

I've been hearing good reports on accuracy for the 223 MVPs, but I'm really interested in the 308. Has anyone had an opportunity to shoot one, and can comment on its accuracy?

Thanks!

MVP Flex!

Just found out the kewlest little fact. The MVP Flex and the Shotgun Flex use the same stock parts so they are interchangeable.

Mossberg told me at this time as far as they know there is no magpul furniture available for the MVP Flex...

Did find some reviews

Took the Patrol out for 20 rounds.

Was north of Barstow on business so I took the Patrol with me and got off 20 rounds. The first 5 were me getting to know the rifle and then 15 at targets. Bits of wood in the Mojave River bed.

Even with a really cheap cheesy Tacticool scope I'm very happy with the rifle.

It ought to really shine after the good scope gets put on.

i was at yolo sportsman yesterday and the guy next to me at the 100yd range had a mvp patrol 308, brand new not a round down the pipe. it took him 3 shots to get it sighted, then he proceeded to put 5 shots into a 1" group at 100yds.

I've got one of these in the mail as we speak. I should have it monday and if anyone would like, I could post some pics up.

I've been working as a mod on www.mossbergmvp.com/index.php and a handful of the other mods including myself are getting pro deals through MDT. We had been working on them with the design and possibilities including mag release and others. It is really going to be a nice quality piece of hardware.

I've had the 24" Predator since last July. I love it! Shoots sub MOA at 100yds all day with my Bushnell 5x15.

Checkout the MossbergMVP site. Lots of good information on mods, accuracy and ammo types.

Wonder if that chassis system would accept a 4x4 24" in .270WIN?

Mags would be too short for the .270. Otherwise, it would probably fit. All of the other 4x4 components swap out for the most part.

I really want to compare the MVP to the ATR 100 models. Any more local to the north hollywood area?

I have a atr 100 .308 and would like to see what it would take to add a mag to my rifle... personally would like a internal mag and still load it from the top. would be neat.

MVP are nice looking for sure.

Anybody ever compare a Mossberg 4x4 or ATR to a Howa 1500 or other model.

This is hard to beat for the package. Maybe stiffen up the stock, but otherwise, it is a great setup.

I have had my MVP predator 24" bbl in 5.56. Got it as a gift from my son in law while I was in Texas for my granddaughter HS graduation. Cost $499.99 at Academy sports. It shoots under moa at 200 yes. I LOVE IT!

These rifles turn me on. I had a rem 700 and top loading 4 rounds or whatever was super anoyying. And the price of 308 for just plinking in the desert/range isn't attractive to me.

Saw on big 5's site they carry and have sales on the MVP Varmint 223 which is what I'm intrested in. Has the nicer shaped laminate stock too. Since I have a huge supply of 223 already and a crap load of the small 10rnd AR mags it's right up my ally..

Just signed up on that mvp forum (awaiting confirmation)

If a MVP came out in 6.5 Grendel I'd be interested! Glad these things are good shooters! I fondled one a when they came out the 5.56 version and it seemed pretty cool lil hiking gun. I just don't really like 5.56/223 for bolts.

The MVP Patrol is not a plastic stock gun. That is wood painted black!

Just got my LSS Chassis system!!! Can't wait to get it set up, but I have to get the adapter to a fixed stock first. I don't want to do the collapsible stock with riser option.

So I finally got the MDT LSS chassis!!!

I have it all done but the buttstock. I forgot to get the adapter for the rifle length stock which has the inlet for the buttstock to not have it spin. I will be getting that sooner than later though. I have to say it is REALLY solid, and the MDT guys are top notch in both customer service, and in the quality of the products. It is machined better than most AR lowers I've seen. It has a near perfect finish on it, and the machining marks are down to a tiny minimum. There are no seam lines in it because it is a billet piece, and I can't wait to get another couple of these for a Savage 11, and a Remington 700 5R. I'm going to do a desert tan, and stainless combo for that one.

And this is the stock that is going on it, but the adapter has to be put in place first.
