Would like to see more South Riverside County CalGunners at this shoot. Chaos47 posted a thread on how to make the monthly shoots better and the overwhelming response was for a closer event.
Ask and you shall receive... This one is much closer to South County than the first shoot of the month. I live in Wildomar and it only took me 26 minutes to get there via the 15 to the 91, exit on Pierce, then left on Sterling. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

If you are W/B on the 91, you will exit the Magnolia off ramp (there is no Pierce exit W/B. Quickly get into the left lane as Pierce is the first light. Take a left, same directions above apply for the rest. |

![]() Depends on what you want to do... The NRA qual takes 50 rounds for the first level, and 100 for the second. It's up to you on how much you want to shoot. The competition could be anywhere from 5 to 10 rounds. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Bring as many as you want.
You are not required to do the NRA Qualification unless you want to do it. It's a lot of fun though and I suggest that everyone give it a shot. Right now about 25% of the people at the shoot work on it. The others just do whatever they want doing general shooting/plinking. I'm thinking the competition this month is 10 shots to make it easy to score. The competition is not required either but it is highly suggested that everyone trys it out. Who knows you could win a prize.

Our prize sponsor for this shoot will be GO GUN OWNER. Some of you may be familiar with them as they are the booth next to ours at the Ontario Gun Show.
![]() The “G O” emblem was conceived to be a subtle display of Gun Owner Pride, as an iconic symbol that would spread across our great nation as a message and show of our Solidarity as gun owners and freedom lovers, standing together to keep the 2nd Amendment strong, in place, and intact. Presented as the “Gun Owner Pride Pin”, we think of it as the “Little Pink Ribbon” for us and our cause. And because Freedom isn’t free, our objective is to raise not only awareness, but as much money as possible, to fund our own efforts to support the 2nd Amendment. Our “Gun Owner Pride Pins” are respectfully offered for sale, with all profits generated here going to the noble National and State Organizations whose mission it is to preserve, protect, defend and fight for our 2nd Amendment rights. GO GUN OWNER MISSION STATEMENT To do our part to support and protect the 2nd Amendment; To encourage public expression of solidarity by all Gun Owners and lovers of Liberty with an iconic symbol that indicates Gun Owners’ pride and financial support of those rights guaranteed by the Constitution; To promote public awareness of the current and future challenges and threats to the 2nd Amendment by our Federal and State governments and other forces; To generate financial support for those Organizations and Causes who need and depend on all of us, who fight the good fight on behalf of all of us, to protect our Rights, Freedom and Liberty. Mention was made that those in competition will be shooting centerfire guns. I noticed in the list of prior competitions, .22 rimfire was permitted. Since this is a much less expensive round, is there a reason why this isn't being permitted this time also.
Not trying to make waves, just wondering due to the price and difficulty of buying new ammo and using limited supplies of what some of us may have. Thanks. Last edited by retired; 02-09-2014 at 5:10 PM.. |

We try to mix up the competitions to keep interest. Last months shoot was rimfire rifles. The month before it was pistols, rimfire or center fire. The competition is optional and free. We are just trying to drum up more interest and get the shooters out to the range. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I noticed that 10 bays are reserved, but twelve shooters are signed up. Can I still participate? Are more than one shooter per lane allowed? I see there is ample time before the competition to warm up, I just want to make sure I get some of that time.
Thanks, John

People that bring guests are expected to shoot together in the same lane generally. And sometimes depending on the numbers we have attendees share lanes. The last RMR shoot we had like 26 people in 10 lanes. And it was fine. It works out well because while one person is shooting the other can reload magazines.

Sorry for the late response, I just finished reading the decision in the Peruta Case
![]() Yes, I am planning on being there(if you will have me ![]() I plan on bringing my full-size 1911 with plenty of ammo. I can also bring a number of other handguns if anybody coming would like to shoot them(you bring the ammo, I'll bring the handgun). Examples would be(in no particular(SP?) order): .44 Sp. snubnose .38 Sp. snubnose .357 Mag in 2,4,6,8" barrell lengths 9mm Firestar 9mm Tarus PT92 S&W 625 5" .45ACP .38 Sp. Derringer .22 Ruger Mark II BTW, I have never shot a Glock before and would love the chance to shoot a compact .45 Glock. I will bring the ammo. Let me know if I am welcome. John

![]() In the same spirit, if I am able, I will bring my Ruger .44 mag. with the 7 1/2" barrel and the Security Six .357 with the 6" barrel. I'll be shooting my 92f, S&W Model 15 .38, both my former dept. service weapons. I'll also have my XDSC 3" 9mm ccw. It has some Tru Glo TFO sights in case you have not had a chance to shoot with those. You furnish the ammo and you can shoot it. John, btw, you might want to just keep your not shooting a Glock record intact and shooter the better XD. ![]() ![]() Last edited by retired; 02-17-2014 at 10:17 PM.. |

I will add you to the roster. BTW the NRA Winchester Qualification is not a match, it's a self guided series of ranks that you progressively achieve. I have a "practical/tactical" (read: medium longslide) Glock 34 9mm you are welcome to shoot. I don't have a 45ACP Glock but chances are good someone might. The Glock 30 is a sweet pistol!

Thank you for adding me Chaos47.
I would still like to participate in the NRA Quals. I consider it a competition, even if only against myself. Self-improvement is a constant goal to strive for in my opinion. retired: Nice collection you have there. I might take you up on the XD and the S&W 15. I normally stay with the calibers starting with a 4, but I want to try that trigger on your 15. See everybody Friday! John

jfwlb, the trigger on the Model 15 was smooth when it was assigned to me in 1976, so you can imagine how smooth it is now.
