^^^Agree about the stages. I wasn't thinking about it due to the drive time and family obligations, but after seeing the stages....

So, how long is the drive from LA to Bakersfield?

Probably about 2-3 hours depending on where in LA you are at. The range is actually about 20-30 minutes or so from Bakersfield proper.

From SFV it is about 2 hours.

It's a great match, guys. Last year Taran Butler, Michael Voight, and Maggie Reese shot and it was worth attending just to see that!

The last time I went, the 5 fwy got shut down over the grapevine... So I had to take the long way around. It was like being in the Ice Road Truckers show.

Btw, stages do look great!

The stages look like a lot of fun, but several look pretty similar to last year in layout, except we will not be shooting tennis balls on strings with slugs. That was hard but awesome. I am really looking forward to the match.

We have 60 preregistered shooters with 1 1/2 weeks to go with a cap at 70. So if you are still planning on shooting get your registration in. It will be a great match and thanks to all those who have signed up.

One more item, we WILL be incorporating those 2 tennis balls that are to be shot with slugs again. Just not sure what stage they will be added to yet, so bring a few extra slugs.

A friend of mine just reminded me that this match is next week already, how time flies... I just looked at the stages and wow, it looks like one heck of a nice match. This will be my first time making it down for this one. Looks like lots of shotgun and lots of aerial clays.

I was wondering about the clays on stage 6. Are those set in No-shoots? How far do you plan on putting those out? How about for the far steel and the poppers in front of it (ballpark figure)? Port A... is that large enough for normal prone or would you have to be sideways?

Last year the clays were hanging from a rope using little plastic clips, so I would it will be about the same. And if they are using the same prop as last year in stage 6 that port is pretty low and you will have to hold the rifle sideways.

Thanks for the info. Stag 1 looks like they're hung from clips. Stage 6 shows them inset in what looks like no-shoots, but with the X over them, maybe they're not? I can only hope.... I'll have to know my hold over/under for sure on those I guess. Thanks for the heads up on port A... now if only I knew a ballpark on that double flasher and the poppers, I could get a better idea of where I need to know what my sideways zero does. I guess I'll figure something out.

Question on the pistol. In tacops can you have a magwell on the pistol? I can't seem to fine a definitive answer on this. Thanks

Yes, TacOps 3gun pistol uses the same rules as USPSA Limited.

Our club only has one 3 Gun match a year right now and it's been that way for a while.

We have started exploring having more Rifle and Tactical Shotgun matches in the coming months though. Our last Rifle match had a great turnout.

You can find us on Facebook.

Thanks SuperSet. I was hoping it would be a seasonal thing (Winter, Summer, etc.). Somebody look into it!!!

Not that you need it, but good luck and stay safe (to all). Have fun out there.

Seasonal 3Gun matches are all the rave ...seems like it's a good draw. Make it happen (more frequently)!

This is 5 Dogs Action Shooters 19th annual Winter Classic Multi gun match.

I believe if you shoot this match you will go away saying this was one tough and most fun 3 gun match you have been challenged with!

See you on stage 2...

The match today was excellent and flowed well. Home before dinner, tired, and smelling like burnt powder.
