There's a competition match almost every weekend day in SoCal.

Pannone comes to SoCal once a year and his Advanced Handgun once every few years.

I guess it depends on when Prado is available for the Bob Vogel class.

I know Alias Training and Falcon Operations hold regular classes out of Prado so available slots are key.

That's the point I was trying to make.

Prado has Pistol, Rifle, Condor and little Condor bays.
March 2nd the first Sunday you have USPSA in the pistol and rifle bays.
Silverado Sportsmen Bianchi Pistol in Condor with the Bianchi mover.
If Mike Pannone has a class then it must be in little Condor.

Hank15 have you checked with Raul to see what dates are open at Prado.

How many maximum shooters will you have?

What are the minimum skill level prerequisites? For instance, USPSA C Classification or higher, IDPA Sharpshooter Classification or higher.

Perhaps get some available dates in late March as well as April?

I think he said no minimal skill level, just need to be safe. Maximum is 16, minimum is 10.

I remember those from about a month ago but wanted to confirm everything before it's all finalized.

I'm in for a 2-day competition class on March 8-9, if Prado's available then. I took his World Class Pistol Skills class with Robert on Nov 11-12 and enjoyed it tremendously. I would not be interested in repeating this class, but if you can put together a competition-oriented class, or even better an IDPA-specific competition class, I would attend. Robert is doing two two-day courses at Richmond in May, both competition classes: a Fundamentals Class for USPSA and IDPA shooters with match experience but "little formal training" who are ready to "make their first large leap in skill level and training." The other class is his Advanced Class, "for the die-hard action pistol competitor" which, compared to the Fundamentals Class, "will move faster and progress to advanced skills analysis/development and stage evaluation." The Advanced Class requires students to be Sharpshooter or B class or above.

By the way, my experience with Robert is that he will modify a class as he sees the level and interests of the students.

Hank, which of these classes did you want to offer? I'd most like the Advanced Class, but would attend the Fundamentals Class if it was the only option.

Jim

I'm interested in the two-day class, although will attend the one-day class if that's the only option. I have no experience in competition shooting though. I've made a bunch of holes in paper during 2013, which I've found surprisingly fun.

I guess March thru May would be better for me so I have an opportunity to shoot a few matches beforehand.

So I got in touch with Robert and the manager at Prado shooting park.

There were very limited time slots but we made it happen!

Tentative date will be 2/15 and 2/16!

Here's how this will work:

1) PM me your name, cell phone and other forms of contact, and the amount of people you have

2) I will put you and your group down on the list of people who are attending and then give you the payment information (if Robert requires it be paid in advance)

This will be on a first come first serve basis.

Just confirming $425 for the 2-day class limited to a maximum of 16 shooters?

Correct!

2 things.

1) Robert Vogel is comfortable with recording partial videos of the class, as long as you're not recording a 2 hour footage and posting it on youtube.

2) In this post I will keep track of the people who have signed up. Some of them are not on calguns, so if the numbers don't add up...you know why:

Total so far: 10

saym14 2
Moto 1
Gh0sT 1
reckoner 1
Kodemonkey 2
Hans Gruber
relaxalot

Please PM me or call me at (909)837-7667 if you do not see your name on this list. Allow me 6 hours to update this list.

Thanks!

I would definitely be interested if one of the classes was aimed at someone at an A/B class or above level in USPSA with match experience. If that's the run down, I would love it.

The class will be adjusted to group/individual needs, so it's very possible that he can accommodate your learning goals.

Let me know of your specific goals and I'll forward it to him.

Also, I am proud to announce that we have now met the minimum amount of people required for the class!

Robert can accommodate 6 more students for this class, so get your spot ASAP!

Those of you that have already reserved your spot, expect a PM about deposit information soon.

Course outline will be posted soon.

2 notes:

1) Each day will go from 9AM to 5PM unless anyone has any objections.

2) Class will be very fast paced. He mentioned the only thing slowing the class down is usually when people show up without enough magazines or load really slowly.

Bonus: I am working something out with Robert right now to allow students with limited availability to attend for just 1 day. Update to come.

500 rounds a day to be on the safe side (his exact words)

You can if you want, but because of Prado's location, there's fast food within a ~5 mile radius. If anything I can also go on a food run for everyone!
