After January will it still be legal to bring them back in-state? I doubt it.

Cheaper to build your own 10 rounders than buy them already built.

Got it. Thanks for the information.

The only koolaid in the whole thread is the stuff you mixed up.

I already bought all of the rebuild kits that I'll want or need for a long time. Lots of 10rd mags, and lots of 20rd, 30rd, and 40rd kits. Bought them all in the past 2-3 months when they were dirt cheap and at pre-panic prices.

Don't need anymore rifle kits but could use more pistol kits for different models.

The new Arsenal mags have been pricey. The new old stock and surplus is much more reasonable.

I haven't even bought my PTR GI yet, but it looks like I'll be buying some G3 kits. Anybody know if KeepShooting.com will disassemble theirs for a fee?

I suppose magazine parts will still be legal? Springs, followers, floor plates, mag bodies? Just illegal to sell as a kit...

Possession is legal. Sale/transfer/importation of new parts would not be.

Accusing fellow Calguns members of illegal activities on a public forum. Nice. You may not be a mole, but you're definitely an idiot.

I'm curious if individual part purchases will be legal so long as they are not sold together as a kit.

You can make 10/30 out of them, that's what I use them for anyways. I like the extra grip on a full sized magazine.

Besides the nice grip they provide they're also the right size for standard magazine pouches; which opens up a wider variety of accessories.

I'm also curious about this, as well as whether or not a permanently modified 10/30 magazines will still be purchasable/importable.

So you take your pre-ban mags and kits outta state to go shooting for the day, re-disassemble before heading home, get pulled over for traffic violation, and bam-o.. arrested for importation?? Hmmmmm

They go anywhere from $25 to $45 on gunbroker, but most places won't ship to CA. And when I'm out of stock of 308 Pmags I sell them for $15.95 ea

B/c my 10/30's and other similarly blocked off magazines are WAY easier to use than my 10 round magazines - especially if you grip the magwell/magazine in various situations like I do.
That or I've used my rebuild kits to fix/replace parts in my 10 rounders. It's hard to find individual followers, springs, baseplates, etc. most of the times and even then the individual parts are way too expensive when compared to the price of a complete rebuild kit.

On a different note, are all spare parts going to be illegal? i.e. a 10 round and 10+ round pistol magazine have the same follower (or springs, etc.), would buying that same follower be considered a crime????

I'm thinking of buying some land in AZ but not moving there (just to vacation at). I really would assemble out of state and disassemble before returning.

Plus; if there was a widespread civil disturbance.... and I had to defend myself... I could throw the parts kits at people to keep them away.

Already seen price increases since this morning on several websites.

I expect people to go nuts ordering rebuild kits. I ordered a single 10 rounder!

Well the prices are just going to keep going up regardless of the threads on Calguns until we can't get rebuilds anymore. Really, there is no excuse not to already have all the mags you need by now.

Now its just time to say **** you to this stupid state and buy them because they say you can't have them.

I was kicking myself a few months ago for buying a handful on 30 rd rebuild kits- for AR15 and Bulgarians for my AK, now I'm happy I did since out of country for couple more months.

For AR , got a few Gen 3 Pmags but also got some aluminum C Products, some people may think I'm crazy- I agree they wouldn't hold up when dropping them on the ground in a training class, etc, like a Pmag would but I love how light they are and always function flawlessly and drop freely out of magwell.
