Default Can Leo buy off roster pistol with a threaded barrel?

I was interested in a ruger 22-45 with a threaded barrel but don't know if it is good to go with just Leo creds. Anyone know?

30515. (a) Notwithstanding Section 30510, "assault weapon" also
means any of the following:
...
(4) A semiautomatic pistol that has the capacity to accept a
detachable magazine and any one of the following:
(A) A threaded barrel, capable of accepting a flash suppressor,
forward handgrip, or silencer.
If one can get department authorization for an 'assault weapon', LEO can buy one.

Re: SSE

The second you convert it back to semi auto with a detachable magazine you have an AW again.

Why bother?

It's TACTICOOL.

But yeah why, it's not like you'll be able to put a suppressor on it.

Does anyone know how many NFA legally registered Silencers have been used in crimes in CA?

They're Illegal/prohibited just because of a flash suppressor???...That's a little excessive don't ya think?

AFAIK...
Noise Suppressors were banned in CA during the 1930s and had to do with hunting/poaching.

I bought a FN tactical 45 with threaded barrel. It transferred from Buds Guns after DOJ ruled it was ok. It was the first one to be transferred to California. It was transferred as a pistol not a SBR.
