Default Glock 20 price check?

Is $419 for Gen 3, >95% condition Glock 20 decent price? Or any chance finding a better deal? Reading all those 10mm threads got me wanting one... even though I'm pretty happy with my G21. Oh well cant have too many tupper toys.

New they hover around 560+, so Its a good deal, especially since its a 3rd gen, and in good shape. Besides who shoots the heck out of a 10mm. Id jump on it.

Jump. Now. BRD isn't the only game in town. Wait until you get TMMD. If you don't currently handload............................the G-20 will "make you an offer you can't refuse."

That's too much - but I just happened to win the lotto and can spare the pocket change, so if you point me to the seller, I'll buy that overpriced piece of plastic off the market so that no one else gets ripped off.

A "little" shopping @ Doubletap for 10MM, and you will soon be passing up the price you paid for the Glock on ammo!!!!!!!! If you MUST HAVE D.T., buy 2 boxes (one to make sure you can shoot well with that kind of recoil: because of semi-violent muzzle flip @ first, follow-up shots take PRACTICE - and the other to keep for personal defense. (I wouldn't EVER recommend using a 10 in a "home" environment - you AND everybody else in the vicinity will have temporary hearing/eyesight damage. Plus the fact that that slug ISN'T likely to stop inside the bad guy and/or your house!!!)

$419 is a good price. I wish a gun like that was available when I bought a Glock 20 several years ago. I bought mine of gunbroker from a dealer in Kentucky for $525. After adding FFL fees and shipping, it came to just over $600

Also per the other thread on "Why 10mm" - reloading this cartridge will save you a lot of money on the cost per round basis. Either that, or you can just shoot more for your dollar.

If you get this, you will want to reload. I'd suggest getting a Dillon 550.

Still, though....don't you just luuuuve your 10? Notice how it holds a special place in your heart over a lot of your other fist missiles?
Oh, and CSA: my PRO-2000 does just FINE, thank you!!!!!!!!!!

I would have to disagree, any gun that you shoot enough you will pass up the price you paid for it. I think one of the major reason's to get a G20 is to shoot DT. Most of the other commercially available ammo is so lite it is almost .40 S&W. This is like when people want to buy a BMW and then fill it up with regular octane gas.

I do agree that it is not the best choice for HD due to its high velocities. Also any handgun fired indoors would disrupt your hearing/eyesight.

They will send you a certificate and you go to a participating dealer, and you can buy any ONE clock at LE prices. I don't have the price list with me right now, but as I recalled a brand new G17 is around $390. Remind me later tonite if you want me to check the G20 price for you when I get home.

If you don't have a dealer "close enough" to you, they will provide you with a dealer who will ship to your FFL. And you just pick a FFL from my list: http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...ad.php?t=63050

WTF????? Do YOU even know how much $$$ 10mm ammo goes for? And your 2nd "quote" essentially says "A MAJOR reason to get a G20 is to shoot high-dollar self-defense ammo. So, tell me: do you even own a gun? If so, your "disagreement" tells me that , when you go to the range, you bring mostly Double Tap to practice with. That's hilarious. BTW, you completely didn't get what I was saying at all , which was that , basically DT ammo is so expensive that it would only take a relatively small amount of it, compared to regular factory loads (NOT TO MENTION THE SUBSTANTIAL SAVINGS ON HANDLOADS!), to pay for a new gun. Oh, and the "discharging in a home" simply meant that the muzzle blast & roar of FP 10mm loads are MUCH more severe than, say , 9mm/.40/.45ACP. I guess that part was lost on you too!

A .40S&W Glock is what I wanted. I really don't want to look at this price list, it is really too good to be true!!

I may yield for a G35.

If I end up w/ the 17, I might want to part with my O.D. 23. (?)

Why do u want a 17?

If you want something 9mm, I personally think G19 is a good, compact package, without losing too much barrel length/muzzle velocity.

If you want something "more accurate", go G34.....

I want the G35 for competition purpose, so, a 23 won't be on my wish list.

I think a G35OD would be nice.... heh hee...

I already have a 19. And as far as accuracy, you'd be hard pressed to beat a 10mm (I get 4-6" groups @ 100 yds (!) w/ my xtended/comped/6.5" BBL G20). I guess the mystique of the 17 being "the original Glock" makes it attractive!

Buy a GOOD brass-catcher:http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpag...eitemid=112864
and sweep your shooting area clean before commencing w/ the 10. Fire a few rounds - to see where they are ejecting - then when you are done for that particular caliber, sweep it ALL up (even strays are okay - you can always sort them out at home later ) like it is GOLD & put it all in one of those gigantmongous zip-locks. Do this every time you take your 10 out, & pretty soon you will have TONS of brass ready for cleaning & reloading!

It is remotely connected. Greg-Dawg is saying he can't handle the power and recoil of the 10mm, so he has to get the .40Short&Wimpy instead. He does like how it shoots the same diameter bullets, however.
