Yes, I've spent way too much money with them. My order said it was in process the entire day up until an hour ago, where it was changed to cancelled. Spoke to a friend of mine that ordered after I did and his is on back order. This seems to be a recurring theme with Cabelas where orders are randomly filled/back-ordered/cancelled. I know its happened before with .223 ammo.

My order is also "In Process".

I saw the OP at 4:25 and ordered at 4:37. I took several minutes because I was trying to find some other items to add to my order, but I didn't know if the .22 ammo in my shopping cart was reserved for me until I checked out or not, so I aborted that plan and got an order in for just the .22.

I then went back and placed a second order for some other stuff. That order is also "In Process". I received an email confirmation for my second order, but not for the .22 ammo. I really hope that my .22 order is filled!

Did they ever hit your card? I used my "fun money" debit card and they hit that right away.

A random thought...

I've noticed that Cabela's offers its credit card with three different ranks: Classic, Silver and Black, with Black being the most prestigious. Some of you are getting your orders cancelled, while others are not. When filling orders for high demand items, I wonder if Cabela's gives priority to card holders by rank, i.e. Black, Silver and then Classic, before moving on to those who purchased using other cards.

I just checked and my (non-Cabela's) card was charged yesterday for the .22. The second order that I placed a short time later for some other stuff was charged to that same card today.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I never did see the free shipping code so I didn't use it. 12+ bucks more, still a good deal (for me) ....makes me wonder.

What's "credit"

We don't use that in this household so I don't think that has anything to do with it.

Hahaha. Love what this Thread has started. It all seems like déjà vu as many of these same ammo addicts continue the endless hunt for ammo. But in actuality, it's not the ammo we are after, it's that goddam ammo score high! Welcome Ammoholics anonymous! Lol.

To those who really need that 22lr, stay positive and keep hope alive! I've seen this situation before from all sides, in stock, in process, backorder, and cancelled (the infamous 223 pricing debacle). In almost all cases, it's turned out good (at least for me). Backorders always seem to ship (eventually) and in the case of the 223, I had the option to cancel and the nice cabelas customer service rep even sent me a $20 gift card. I've missed out on plenty of good deals, but if follow the CG deals section and slickguns, you will eventually score. Just gotta keep at it!

Keep those Heads up ammo hunters, this game is supposed to be fun, not stressful! (Until that credit card bill comes!!, Golfish is one step ahead of all of us! $5 cabelas card shipping is the greatest marketing ploy of all time!! Damn you cabelas!!! Lol

My wife's order shipped as well.

And BTW, we don't have/use a Cabelas CC or any debit cards.

After this order.. I am set on 22lr. Done.

Exactly. I checked around and it was $84.99 last year. So now paying $99.99 is gouging? I consider that extra as gas money.

We should he fine, I ordered mine 20 minutes after the OP and mine hasn't shipped yet. I called customer service and the lady said it can take 24-48hrs to get to shipping.

yes, but worst case you get a back order, and cabelas has usually been good on honoring back orders. for me at least.

Just tried it for my bro in law and it went through. Has an expected ship date of 10/03/2013. Now I don't have to share 1/2 of mine!!

Basically followed that link and checked out. Worked like a charm.

Edit: In other news I just checked the status of my order from yesterday and it shipped with a delivery date of 09/30/2013.

I commend you on your quest to avoid ammo temptation mr. Glock_this! But as many of us know from experience, this task is much easier said than done. Part of your rehabilitation will be to avoid lurking these very calguns deal pages, so if you are actually reading this, you addiction is stronger than you thought! If you actually went back to cabelas when mizouse posted, "just to check", you are falling back into the ammo addict abyss! If you added it to your cart, you are like the rest of us and can't escape it!

But, if your willpower is strong, I bid you farewell and see you in about. Hmmm a week or so!! Hahaha

Here is a good piece of pertinent info that might help explain why some people have backorders and some went through. (This hold true for all slickguns links)

Sometimes slickguns links are incorrect and show ammo in stock that actually isn't there. This backs up lt1silverhawk's post that from the direct link it shows sold out and mizouse's slickguns link, lets you order it. Mizouse is right though and sometimes getting a backorder in is better than nothing as cabelas will often ship these eventually.

I am interested to know of all the people that placed orders (the first time around), did the ones that used my original link (the direct cabelas link) get shipment notifications vs. Those that used the slickguns link? and if there is any statistic backup for this theory. Or it could be time of order based or completely random. (Although I did like the cabelas black card priority theory!)

Hope everyone gets their orders, but if you get frustrated by slickguns links going to cabelas and it gets back ordered, don't get mad at cabelas. It's actually the slickguns link that is routing to a page not updated. Golden ballistic told me this a while back and I actually talked to a cs rep at cabelas and she explained this to me as well.

If you notice most of golden ballistic and lt1silverhawks posts, they always use the direct links to avoid this frustration.

Btw- big props to both those guys as the most consistent and helpful calgunners in the deals section! Kings of the deals, Hahahaha !!!
