Default M1 Garand w/ a History...

Hey y'all,

I received a few SA SG M1 Garands from the CMP the other day that turned out to be WWII re-barrels w/ near-new bores. A couple of'em came w/ SA-49 Bbl's and MCSCB (Marine Corps Supply Center, Barstow) '65 hang-tags.

Don't know where they found'em, but they appear to be USGI Marine Corps rifles.

One of the rifles (#3612xxx, ME=1.00 TE=2.00, w/ an HRA bolt and matched USGI HRA (DAS) walnut stock) was slated to go to my brother. The thing is, he could care less about the collector value or the history, so it will just be another M1 Garand shooter to him.

So I was thinkin'... Since I am presently an indentured servant in the Southern part of this Soviet Province, and have 'till the First of the Year 'till my Constitutional Rights are, yet again, infringed upon and can no longer do a C&R FTF transaction? that there might be a Shooter/Collector here that might want to trade me a late production (5.4/5.8M) walnut stocked SA Garand w/ similar bore numbers for it.

If you have any interest, just PM me and we'll go from there.

...Cogito, ergo armatum sum..."

(I think, therefore I am armed.)
