Default Bushnell Trophy TRS-25 Red Dot Sight vs Primary Arms 30mm

Was wondering if anyone had opinions on either one.
Looking to buy a red dot for my S&W M&P15 in the next few days.

Pros and cons? Looking at all of the reviews, they are both getting good remarks. The Bushnell was $81 shipped plus the $8 riser and the Primary Arms is $69 plus the $10 riser and shipping.

Thanks...

People have been picking the PA one because it's very popular and a great deal.

You can't go wrong with either really since the specs are similar.

Lots of guys on this site use both. I use the bushnell TRS25. It's a great site for the money. I use it on 22s up to 12 gauge and it holds zero. I hear that they are built by the same Chinese company, so just pick the one you like most. Good luck.

I currently run a TRS 25 in my AR. Great sight and easy to zero. Very accurate at 25 yard zero. Was hitting beer bottles 100 yards away offhand. I'll probably be zeroing it at 50 yards the next time I get to the range tho a little flatter trajectory.

Thanks for the replies. Ending up buying the Bushnell TRS-25 with the medium riser last week. Can't wait to zero it in next weekend..

Beat the hell outta my TRS-25 since it's cheap and I can afford a replacement. It still keeps on ticking.

I would wait for the new one to come out any day now. The PA AA Battery (Gen3) red dot. If you don't want that get the PA MD06L they have in stock right now or wait for the PA MD06 which is coming in soon.

I have a TR-25 which I was testing on an AK pistol. It works very well, but not as well as the MD06L I just bought. I always compare these to my Aimpoint T-1s, and the PA Micro Dot is pretty darn good. It will never be a better sight than the Aimpoints, but darn good for the money.

Got a dumb question probably lol..

I zeroed it in for absolute co-witness on my M&P15 with flip down Magpul rear sights, which I will probably shoot most of the time with rear sites up.

BUT my question is if I flip down the rear sites for a better spatial awareness, obviously the red dot will not longer be sitting right above the front post because my cheek weld will maybe be different. The red dot could be to the left or right or even below the post. SO, will the rifle still shoot where ever the red dot is in this circumstance? Hopefully that makes sense. Thanks...

Your POI will always be on the red dot. Here's an experiment to try:

Place the red dot on a stationary object on the wall. Move your head around without moving the optic. You'll notice that the red dot always stays on that stationary object even if it's not completely centered in the tube.

EOTechs are parallax corrected. I dont know about other red dots so maybe someone can post their CS response. Here is a repost from EOTech's CS:

"The sights do have parallax error of +/- 1.2 " or +/- 0.6" (1.2 " side to side). The sight is designed to be parallax free at long distance 100yds to infinity. At close range, there will be a parallax error equaling to the width of the window which is 33mm or 1.3". A perfectly aligned sight will have parallax error of 1.3" at 10 yds and at 17 ft.

As you move further away from 10 to 40 yards parallax becomes less and is almost zero at 50 yards."

I have both the TRS-25 and the PA m3-multi. Both are great dots, but I prefer the PA m3-multi just because of the recticles choices, and it just seems "faster" to pick up to me.

I've put over 5k rounds of 762x39 and some 12ga through the PA optic, never had an issue.

I have a TRS-25 on a medium riser with perfect co-witness on an flat top AR-22 upper.

I just got another one for a .22 pistol because they are on special at Amazon right now - $69.99 - great deal.

What's your mount set-up on the AK? You getting some type of co-witness?

Thanks in advance!

Had both - preferred the PA Microdot w/removable riser, was brighter and better quality.

Which PA red dot are you specifically referring to waiting for? I'm sorry, just not following the post...Thanks.

Here is a neat little video I took of my AK's Primary Arms Red dot....

In this video the brightness setting was set to '1'.

Enough with the debate/comparisons. With the price above plus the mount included, at this moment whether you have either/or neither/nor...just want to get another...$59 it's a no brainier.
